Chapter Text

Three times a week wasn’t obsessive, right? Restaurant regulars existed, so Jungkook will be that. Just a regular regular who has been coming to this place three times a week for the past two—or was it three now?—weeks.

“Oh, hey, you again?”

Jungkook’s cheeks warmed when he answered. “Yeah.” He glanced at Park Jimin’s name tag, as if he just noticed it, when really, he already figured out not only his full name, but his entire shift schedule and where he went to school—but he digressed. “Uh, Jimin.”

Jimin’s acknowledging smile was almost blinding. “No friends this time?” he asked, taking his ordering pad out of his apron. His hair shifted prettily as he glanced down to look for his pen, and Jungkook wondered how anyone looked so good doing such a small action.

“No, j-just me.”

“Been seeing you a lot,“ Jimin joked. “The food can’t be that good, can it?”

“You look that good.”

Oh. Fuck

Fuck, fuck, holy shitting FUCK.

That was supposed to be a thought.

Jimin blinked at him, his pen slipping from his hand he was so startled.

This was probably one of the reasons Jungkook went with friends to this café. He apparently cannot function alone as a normal human being. Fuck.

“I-I mean…” He muttered, his heart racing and filled with horror. He’s going to think I’m a creeper. “I… I was…” But his voice trailed off when he glanced up, his eyes fixed on the blush coloring Jimin’s cheeks.

That was not really a reaction he expected. Also, wow, he was beautiful.

And he wondered now, with a bit of hope, if Jimin had been watching him, too.

Jimin laughed a bit, looking adorably shy as he picked his pen off the ground. “S-So… Jungkook, right?”

Jungkook bit back a giddy smile. “Yeah…”

“Will it be the usual? Or…” Jimin’s lips spread coyly. “… would you like to try me?”

Jungkook was sure his face was a beet by now from the way it burned.

He let out a bashful chuckle, lifting a hand to rub the back of his neck. “I think… I think I can afford both.”

“Good,” Jimin replied, noting his order—the real one—and winking before leaving his table.
