There are nights when you just stay up, scrolling on social meadia, falling into rabbitholes and more rabbitholes and suddenly it’s 2am and you‘re watching a YouTube video on how to communicate with giraffes. Or a documentary about spiders, like Peter does.
He‘s a bit tired but he tries to get some information that could help him being spider-man. The documentary-man switches to telling fun facts about the Trichonephila clavata or known as the Joro-spider.
“The Joro spider uses its webs to float from high places…“
Suddenly Peter feels wide awake. He‘s partially a spider too, could it be…?
Before he can finish the thought he‘s already calling Mr Stark. His mentor is probably still up anyways.
Turns out, he isn‘t but he still picks up the phone.
“Kid?“
“MR STARK did you know that some spiders can float?!“ Peter blurts out.
Tony doesn‘t really listen, he‘s busy beeing relieved Peter didn‘t call to tell him he‘s dying.
“Hm that‘s great, kiddo“, he mumbles. Peter doesn’t listen anyways, he just keeps rambling.
“Do you think if I jump from a high enough place I could float too???!!!!” Why does the kid always have to have so much energy?
Tony grumbles.
“Hmm maybe.”
He just wants to go back to sleep.
Then…
“KID NO DON’T. DO NOT! I MEAN IT, PETER! DO NOT JUMP FROM ANYWHERE! I KNOW I CALL YOU SPIDERLING BUT YOU. ARE.NOT.A.REAL.SPIDER!!!!! Do you understand??? PETER, ANSWER ME!”
Tony’s heart races, on the inside he prepares to jump into his suit to try catch the Spider-Kid from somewhere.
“OKAY OKAY, I WON’T. OHMYGOD MR STARK CALM DOWN!” Oh thank God! Tony sighs in relief. He feels like he had just aged ten years in the last minutes.
Tony lets out a painful growl. This is how Rhodey must feel. This is karma, isn’t it?!
