Chapter Text
Out of Breath
Chapter One
The local friendly neighborhood Spider-Man had been out fighting crime most of the day. there hadn't been to many wild crimes that day but the spider had been swinging around helping people in danger, constantly taking care of others. however, that didn't mean that Spider-Man remembered to take care of himself.
as the sun had started to set the Spider found himself unable to breathe as a sharp pain in his chest startled him mid swing he pretty much flung himself onto the nearest rooftop.
"Shit" he mumbled as he realized he had forgotten about the fact he'd been wearing his chest binder wayyyyy to long. he laid there gasping for air and trying to think of how he would get himself out of this mess, literally.
And almost as if on cue Peter heard a familiar voice "didn't expect to see a spider splat like that today!" said Deadpool as he appeared out of what felt like thin air, though Spider-Man did laugh at the comment. after a moment the merc seemed to realize that Spider-Man was struggling. he was quick to get down by the spiders side. "hey- whats wrong?" he asked as he tried to figure out what was wrong.
"nothing" the spider manged to get out as he tried to sit up, though he sounded very out of breath.
"nothing my ass!" Deadpool replied with a furrowed brow that showed through the expression of his mask. deadpool then noticed the spider was trying to rip the red and blue suit he wore off. he would've made an innuendo if the Spider didn't seem so freaked out.
"cant breathe…. binder" said Spider-Man as he accepted Deadpool wasn't going anywhere. he decided that it was best to let the merc help.
it took Deadpool a minute but when it clicked he was quick to grab a smaller knife off his belt and flip Spider-Man onto his back. he carefully slit the back of the spider suit and then the back of the binder, careful not to cut the other boy as he did so. he then backed up so the spider could catch his breath. Spider-Man moved to sit after a moment and pulled his mask up, just enough to let his mouth and nose show so he could breathe better.
"thanks" he said after a moment of silence, terrified of what Deadpool might say or do. Sure he assumed Deadpool wasn't transphobic but that was an Assumption. He was also worried that even if Deadpool wasn't transphobic, that he might not see Spider-Man as well… Spider-MAN anymore. He was worried Deadpool would be weird about it or treat him differently.
"No problem" Deadpool said with a smile that showed through his mask. "Though, you should probably rest, if you want my place is actually across the street- it ain't pretty but I can get cha a shirt or something and some food!" Spider-Man looked at Deadpool for a moment before smiling a bit, Deadpool may have been a mercenary but he was truly a good guy at heart.
"Yeah, Yeah that would be great" the Spider smiled as Deadpool was getting up. Spider-Man stood up from the roof but quickly found himself in Deadpool's arms, being carried princess style to Deadpool's apartment. Spider-Man was pretty glad he had his mask on, to hide the fact his face was probably as red as his suit. He felt a bit embarrassed being carried by Deadpool at first but relaxed fairly quickly into the warm arms of the bigger man.
When they arrived at the apartment Deadpool sat Spider-Man on the couch; before leaving to rummage through his bedroom dresser for some fresh clothes for Spider-Man. considering he'd kinda cut open the spider suit he figured Spider-Man would want different clothes.
Spider-Man looked around curiously as he sat waiting for Deadpool to come back with clothes. The apartment was a bit of a mess, clearly Deadpool wasn't home enough to keep the place tidy. That was ok though, because even with the mess it was cozy.
"Aight I got cha' some clothes" deadpool said throwing some clothes at Spider-Man. "bathroom is a-that-away" he said pointing to a door "feel free to take a shower too if ya want, im'a make us somethin' to eat!" Spider-man lit up the moment Deadpool mentioned food.
"Thank you again pool'" Spider-Man beamed before getting up to head to the bathroom. His ribs still hurt but he was able to breathe now and was in a place where he felt safe so that was more than enough for him.
As Deadpool made the two some spaghetti he hummed a tune and made sure to listen just in case the spider yelled for him.
Spider-Man took a shower before changing into the clothes Deadpool had given him. The clothes were about two sizes two big for the spider but he made it work. He wore a blue hoodie that went down to his knees and a pair of black gym shorts that were more pants on him than shorts. He looked in the mirror and dried his hair off before slipping his mask back on, leaving it so his mouth and nose were uncovered. When he walked out he found Deadpool humming as he cooked.
"That smells good" the spider exclaimed as he went into the kitchen.
"Damn right it does! It'll be ready soon." Deadpool said as he turned to face spider man and leaned against the counter behind him. "How're you feeling webs?"
"I've been better, but I've also been worse" Spider-Man admitted.
"Well if you need anything else just ask and you shall receive" Deadpool said as he plated the food. "Here eat up, it'll help" he added as he handed Spider-Man the plate, And the boy scarfed the food down pretty damn fast without another word.
After the two had eaten Deadpool looked at the clock, it was half past midnight.
"It's kinda late, if you need to you can sleep here tonight. I can sleep on the couch." Deadpool offered.
"Don't you mean I can sleep on the couch?" Spider-Man asked with a raised brow and pasta sauce on his face.
"Nope, you need actual good rest so your body can heal. I'll take the couch for the night, you can take my bed." Deadpool clarified with a smile as he took a napkin and wiped the sauce off the other man's face.
Spider-Man felt his face heat up at the touch. Sure he was used to Deadpool flirting or teasing but that was during a fight or chase. Something about standing in the guys kitchen while wearing his clothes and being offered his bed for the night while he cleaned the pasta sauce off his face felt a lot more… intimate.
"you're gonna let some guy you don't even know the name of sleep in your bed?" Spider-Man asked after a pause.
"Well I've had guys I don't even know the name of up my ass before so I really don't think this should be to surprising web's" Deadpool laughed "but hey if you're worried about sleeping in the bed of a stranger then I can introduce myself if ya want" he grinned "won't take my mask off though, don't wanna scare ya away with this ugly mug"
"I'm sure it's not ugly" Spider-Man said with a laugh
"you don't know the horrors under here" Deadpool joked as he motioned to his masked face. "anyway you can call me Wade" he said as he held out a hand.
"I'm Peter" Spider-man smiled as he shook Wade's hand.
"Peter" Wade repeated fondly "Well Pete the bedrooms down the hall to the left, go get some rest, just yell if you need anything"
Peter nodded and started to head twords the bedroom before turning to look back at the merc.
"Thanks again… for everything" Peter said before he went into the bedroom and closed the door.
As Peter got settled into bed he decided to take off his mask, no way he was gonna sleep with his mask on. He figured even if Wade did walk in and see him unmasked that Wade was trustworthy and wouldn't do anything bad. Why would you help someone like he had today and then harm them? and as that thought faded Spider-Man fell asleep curled up in Deadpool's bed.
