Marks of Pain, Fear, Memories and More

Summary:

The Timeless Love Bombs tend to each other's wounds after the Holiday Hardcore Death Match.

(Written for Femslash February 2026: Day 2 - "Why Are You So Ticklish?")

Notes:

Title Reference: "Monsters and Fairies" by Savannah (Which is unfortunately not on Deezer, so it won't be going on the playlist at the end of the month, but please search it up elsewhere! It's a banger!)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

"That was a wonderful gift, Storm-chan," Mina declared once she and her girlfriend made it back to their locker room.

In response, Toni placed a kiss of Mina's cheek. "Happy holidays, my love!"

Mina blushed -- but Toni noticed a slight wince in her expression. "Are you alright?"

"I'm okay," Mina replied sheepishly. "Just feeling a little ticklish tonight."

"My kiss tickled you?" Toni repeated, as if she wasn't buying it.

Mina's face morphed into embarrassment, as if she knew she'd been caught in her lie. She then looked over Toni's body. "Is your back okay, after those chair shots?"

"Are you deflecting by focusing the conversation on me?"

Mina sighed. "Daarin..."

"I know you very well by now, my love. And I know that getting hit repeatedly with a frying pan can't be healthy. There's no shame in admitting you aren't well."

Mina nodded. "I just felt bad. You chose the stipulation for me. And you're hurt, too."

Toni sighed. Sometimes she wondered if her girlfriend's heart was too big for her own good.

"Tell you what," she offered, "if you let me patch up your wounds, I'll let you patch up mine."

Mina gave her a soft smile. "Deal."

Toni beamed in return and left to grab the first-aid kit that was tucked into a higher-up locker. As she opened it up and placed a bandage over Mina's cheek, the latter started giggling.

This caused Toni to giggle as well. "Okay, now I believe that you're ticklish!"

"I can't help it!" Mina teased back.

"That's quite alright, love. Just hold still as best you can while I finish."

Mina nodded, practically biting her lip to stop herself from laughing.

Never before had two injured women had such bright, shit-eating grins on their faces in the Dynamite locker room.

Notes:

In the interest of transparency: I had a long shift at work today, so this is nowhere near as polished as I wanted it to be (It was also a very difficult prompt, generally). As long as it reads well, though, I'm happy with it!
