"The world keeps on spinning", some would say.
That's true, the world is always moving. People come and go, people do things and meet others. Even after "bad" things happen, everything moves on.
Not like the Hierarchy disbanding was terrible...but it left a taste of bitterness in the air.
It... wasn't exactly bitter for everyone involved, but for some reason, Wireglasses felt as if Ocho held that sour feeling.
"That's alright," Wireglasses would suppose. People come and go.
...The two of them couldn't stay entirely apart.
Whenever Ocho competed against other teams, Wire would often tag along with Shady and 8-Bit, who would watch his battles.
His performance, his attitude towards battles... he's truly grown from when he first lost against Wireglasses all that time ago.
Wireglasses truly admired him, but...it felt embarrassing to admit that, even to himself. The public perception of his and Ocho's dynamic wouldn't allow for Wire to be the one cheering him on like this.
However, he didn't really care.
He didnt...really care. He didn't mind if others thought he was growing "soft', but what did make him care was..
Ocho didn't even acknowledge him.
It's not like Wireglasses wanted Ocho's attention or anything...but how could he act seemingly so cold to him?
These complicated feelings ate away at Wireglasses for a while. He tried to push them away, focus on his own battles and having fun.
Why did he wish for Ocho to notice him so badly?
Eventually, an opportunity came to him.
As the warm summer breeze went away, along came with it was the Summer Festival.
Maybe, somehow... he could meet up with him there.
He came to the conclusion that perhaps Ocho acted this way because he didn't understand how Wire felt.
He didn't want to scare him away, of course, so maybe in the comfortable setting of a festival, it wouldn't be so anxiety inducing.
How exactly would he go about this?
An art showcase event.
At the festival, there would be an event where people could perform many kinds of art. The options were drawing, music, dance, and literature.
Out of those options, Wire decided writing something would be the most accessible to him.
He knows Ocho is going to this festival too, so if he performs, then he'd see him... hear what he has to say.
But...what would Wireglasses write, exactly?
He wanted to write a poem, but it couldn't be too on the nose.
He thinks, and he thinks...
He stares at a blank sheet of paper, tapping his pen against the desk thoughtfully.
"There's gonna be food at the festival." He thinks to himself. "I'll write a poem about food." That way, the topic can appeal to everyone there, and it'll be easy to write about.
He ponders about which food he should write about, then he remembered that Star Mask told him that he was making mochi ice cream for the festival.
A poem about mochi ice cream that's meant to convey his feelings about Ocho.
What a silly idea...
