“So… are you gonna tell me what you’re doing here?” Tim asked, giving her that look.
“I came to say hi to Lucy before practice. And you too, I suppose.” She explained, realizing that she needed to head out soon. If she was late to practice, her coach was going to 100% make her swim an extra five laps at least. “Are you going to be home before me?”
“Sure, if crime follows a schedule for the rest of the day. But, hopefully.”
“Do you want me to pick up dinner, or are you gonna cook?”
“Uh, yeah, sure, why don’t you go pick up something on the way home? You can choose.” Tim told her, reaching to grab his credit card from his money clip. “Here, take my card.”
“Great, thank you.” She said in a sing-song voice, dragging out the last syllable.
“Please don’t lose it. I don’t want to cancel another credit card.”
