Chapter Text

"SHIBAL, STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT! IT IS NOT MY FAULT!!"

Jun-hee flinched.

Two men of her former team had died, and other two were practically strangers.

"None of that matters anymore.." She mumbled, her hand absentmindedly drifting to her belly.

It did matter, the way both Gi-hun and Dae-ho were ready to claw each other's teeth out.
But what mattered more was the knife in her hand, and the red coating her turquoise jacket.

The situation was more akin to how she'd kill, rather than who.

Myung-gi's words overplayed in her head.

"Then.. you kill me. I'll come find you once the game begins. Stab me with that knife and get out."

She really thought this over as she held the knife in her hand.
Being on the blue team would put her on a huge disadvantage.
She could easily find Myung-gi as soon as the game starts, yes, but what if someone else finds him first? The red can't attack the red, and the blue would be too busy hiding and protecting themselves to even spare a glance on the bump on Jun-hee's belly and see her as a target.

"..COULD'VE WON THE FIGHT, WE COULD'VE WON THE VOTE!!!!..."

Dae-ho's words flew in and out of her ears.

But what if the blue player she has to kill is strong?

What if they kick her baby?

Her stomach flipped, and she wasn't sure if that was just her nervousness, or the baby.

"THE GAME WILL BEGIN MOMENTARILY."

She hurriedly took off her vest, crumpled it up and spotted that the hiders were already making their way to the arena, and spotted Geum-ja hurriedly cutting the line, as she quickly made out Myung-gi in a crowd of blue.

"Keep your promise.", was the only, or rather the best thing she could say could say as she voluntarily gave her chance at safety away.

As she entered the arena, the pretty, starry ceiling staring right back at her as she took in the maze-like structure of the arena, only one thought crossed her mind.

"Myung-gi could never find me in here."
