Whenever Sam goes on missions Buckys gets a little self destructive, of course the thunderbolts notice the odd behaviour, they just don’t know the cause. Their curiosity ends up getting the best of them so they pay Bucky a visit. Or two.

Bucky misses Sam and the thunder bolts can tell something is wrong.“ ‘Hey baby you feeling any better?’ Sam already knows the answer but they both know that Sam can’t help himself from asking anyway. “Yeah I’m doing okay” a blatant lie but it’s not like Bucky’s bleeding out anywhere he’s just a little mentally exhausted. Sam sighs “okay, if you’re sure, Is there anything I can do for you?” “Yeah there sure is” his hands wrap around Sam’s waist, leaning his head against his neck and kissing up his jaw. Sam huffs against his shoulder ‘You know this isn’t what I had in mind.’ “
