Summary
It’s been three years since Hank Anderson’s life tilted off its axis.
It started with a chaotic thunderstorm in every sense of the word, the kind that kicks your front door in and never really leaves. Detective Gavin Reed, soaked to the bone, showing up at Hank’s house at three in the morning and falling apart in a way Hank still couldn’t forget. A hysterical, ugly break that forced him to see the world differently. Quite literally.
Hank hadn’t known he had Seer abilities back then. He only knew that after that night, nothing was the same. The veil was gone. There was no going back.
He did his best to adjust, to learn how to live with it, to stay functional. Mostly for Cole, whose gifts had never been dormant, who had always been able to see their permanent houseguest with perfect clarity.
Connor. Hank’s very own guardian angel. It should’ve sounded insane. It didn’t. Somehow, it just became normal.
