Summary
Gabriel had always known he wasn’t quite like everyone else. He was seven when Silas showed himself to him for the first time, and suddenly it all made sense. Gabriel had never been alone. Not haunted, not cursed, not followed by anything lost. Just protected. A guardian angel at his side, steady through every stage of his life.
Somewhere along the way, their friendship turned into something more. They labelled it as “casual,” given the fact that this kind of connection was basically forbidden between a guardian and their charge. Gabriel didn’t care what they called it. Silas was with him. That was enough for him.
