Summary
Phainon shoved his own jumpsuit down, cock springing free. He spat into his palm, slicked himself quick. He pressed the head against Mydei’s entrance and Mydei pushed back, taking the first inch with a hiss.
“I'll be slow,” Phainon growled low. “You'll be quiet.”
He sank in by degrees inch after inch until he bottomed out, hips flush to Mydei’s ass. Mydei’s arms shook, knuckles white on the bunk frame. Phainon stayed still a moment, letting him adjust, feeling the tight heat clench around him.

I am in absolute awe for the journey this fic took me through.
I’m not usually one for stories with remotely heavy themes, always preferring lighthearted banter and college AUs and goofy tropes with Phainon running around like a headless chicken pining hopelessly for a relatively more composed Mydei. But this story took me to a different dimension. Near literally! That I almost forgot about canon. I snapped out of it when the author mentioned the new 5* selector in one of the notes and I was like, “Oh yeah, this is HSR, and this is phaidei.” I just found myself bulldozing through chapters, crying with the characters during the extra angsty arc, and cheering for Mydei and Phainon (and Elio!) throughout it all.
Many thanks to the author for this fic. 33 million kudos for the 33 million cycles of angst the pair and I have been put through, and the happy ending paid in full, 33 million times over!
