Summary
During a 3D chess match, Kirk suddenly asks Spock: "Do you actually have fun playing chess with someone like me?" As they play, Kirk feels self-conscious about the gap between himself—little more than a beginner—and Spock, who possesses grandmaster-level skill. In response, Spock begins to explain the difference between how humans and AI opponents think.
