Jason was finally taking Alex to the bookstore.
It was just the two of them and Alex was excited.
They had the gift card from their birthday, and it was time for Alex to get some new books.
Alex was buzzing with excitement as they walked into the little bookstore. There was a cafe in the store so while Alex started looking around, Jason got some hot chocolate for the two of them.
Alex wandered around, going from the fiction to non-fiction sections.
They didn’t really have a preferred type of genre when it came to reading, they just picked up whatever seemed interesting.
The found some really pretty books that were also interesting so they picked them up, in the end they had 15 books, ranging in different genres and types.
Jason huffed out a laugh when he finally found Alex. He had a couple books in his hands as well.
Alex and Jason checked out, surprisingly, most of the books were covered by the gift card, the ones that were, Alex had no problem paying for them.
“Thank you, Jay,” Alex said as they walked back into the car.
Jason pulled Alex into a side hug, “no problem, kid.”
