Work Text:
Jason was finishing up his last rounds before going back home.
It was closer to 3am when he finally slid through the window.
Alex was asleep, Jason could see the faint glow of a little lamp coming from their room, they always slept with it on.
Jason looked in the slightly cracked door and smiled, Alex was in an oversized hoodie, one he was pretty sure Cass got them, along with a weighted blanket.
Jason’s eyes drifted further down the hall, surprised to see a faint glow coming from his and Percy’s room.
He walked down the hallway, making his steps louder as he approached his door, if there was anything he learned, it was to not scare Percy, especially during the night. Jason hated why Percy used to flinch, but there was nothing he could do.
Jason pushed open the door and saw Percy, sitting on their bed, lamp on his side of the bed was on, and reading a book that was in Ancient Greek.
Percy looked up at him and smiled.
“Hey love, why are you still up?” Jason asked.
Percy slipped his bookmark in his book before signing, ‘Alex had a nightmare earlier, told them I’d be up if they need me.’
Jason hummed as he sat beside Percy, “how long ago was this?” He asked.
Percy shrugged, ‘what time is it?’ He signed.
“3:30am.”
Percy’s face went blank for a moment before laughing silently, ‘it’s a good book,’ he signed, gesturing towards the book in his hands. Jason shook his head, “though I can’t read it, I’m sure it is, but let’s actually get into bed.”
Percy hummed tiredly, putting the book on the side table and lifting the comforter for Jason before turning off the lamp.
“Love you,” Jason whispered, pressing a kiss to Percy's cheek.
“Love you too,” Percy mumbled into Jason’s arms.
