And In Her Graceful Moonlit Orbs of Sight He Saw Love

Summary:

this is fundamentally just. a joke fanfiction. a silly little mockery (in good fun!) of the stereotypical x reader fic. Note that this was written many years ago, I'm posting it now just for the fun of it.

Work Text:

y/n was timidly walking down the street. Her slim petite teeny figure advanced gracefully through the dark shady alleys she enjoyed walking through as part of her casual nighttime stroll. Her very essence radiated beauty, but she didn't seem to notice. Her gorgeous orbs peered down at the ground self-consciously as she cutely held her book. y/n was a bit of a bookworm, you see. She was so quirky, smart, and different from most girls, which made all the boys fall at her feet, though she never noticed.

anyway y/n was aesthetically walking through the dark alleys, sighing cutely at the thought that she had no one to call her own, when suddenly she heard some menacing evil manly footsteps of dread all around her. She felt fear creeping up her short tiny spine like a small army of ants with 10 legs. She twisted her tiny frame around to see who was pursuing her.

it was a ghoul (oh yeah I forgot to mention this is the Tokyo Ghoul universe)

He was buff and menacing, five times as tall as y/n and had a 47-inch scar across his face. His murdery red ghoul eye thingies (because heaven forbid I call them kakugan) were glowing a menacing shade of crimson. He smirked a crooked evil menacing lustful grin.

From the shadows, three other figures emerged, equally buff and menacing.

y/n's teeny figure shivered endearingly out of fear. There was a faint blush of terror across her face, the same color of a strawberry milkshake with a banana and a handful of raspberries.
"W-w-w-w-w-w-who a-a-a-a-are y-y-y-y-you?", she gasped in her sweet, adorable, high-pitched, melodious voice.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh~" the first ghoul replied, taking in her enticing aroma. "What a delicious snack… And so cute too…" The ghoul started to drool as he set his lustful gaze upon the shivering y/n. y/n let out a shaky little yelp and broke into an adorable little run, but after two steps she tripped and fell because she was just so clumsy. Her precious book slipped from her tiny petite graceful fingers as she rolled and tumbled clumsily yet endearingly for 14 blocks, at the end of which she ended up into another dark secluded alley.

The ghouls circled her, laughing evilly and licking their lips as they savored their kill. They all activated their tentacle stabby thingies (which do not have a specific name and do not come in four different varieties. It's all tentacle stabby thingies trust me.) y/n shivered in fear and did not scream because she didn't want to cause them any trouble as they killed her (y/n was just nice like that).

Suddenly a dark edgy shadow obscured the moon and began ruthlessly attacking y/n's persecutors with its own stabby tentacle thingies. It violently kicked and punched and stabbed at the four ghouls. Intimidated by his aura of alpha superiority, the aura of a broken man, they shrunk away in fear and terror, retreating to the shadows.

y/n was still adorably curled up on the floor, her skinny legs pressed against her chest as she gazed upon her savior with her glistening orbs. He stood tall above her tiny petite short mini frame. His hair was the color of snow when it's almost newly fallen but not quite, and his eyes were deep, searching wells of trauma and tragedy. He extended his powerful alpha hand to y/n, helping her to her feet.
"goodness gracious golly gee whiz. she's so cute." the stranger thought, his cold broken heart suddenly feeling something he never thought he'd feel again.

y/n took the hot stranger's hand, a small blush forming slowly on her adorable cute cheeks. She got up to her feet, wobbling and stumbling. "Curse my intrinsically adorable clumsiness!" y/n thought to herself, tears forming at the edge of her spheres of sight. The handsome ghoul caught her and placed his hand around her waist. With the other hand he dusted her off, his hand lingering onto her left kneecap for a second longer than it should have.

"Hey shawty cutie patootie honey pie sweetheart." the stranger muttered under his breath, his eyes brimming with pain and suffering. "H-h-h-h-h-h-hello…" y/n mumbled, lost in the profound lakes of suffering that the windows of his soul seemed to hold. "May I ask with whom I have the pleasure of speaking?" the ghoul inquired with the voice of a broken man. "M-m-m-my name is y/n…" she breathed, blushing deeply as the stranger's eyes strayed to her left kneecap and quickly back to her eyes.

"I'm Kaneki. Kaneki Ken." Kaneki looked away in the distance. y/n could see the broken soul that harbored behind his tragic bittersweet smile. "I'm part of an association called Aogiri. (yes it's anime Kaneki what did you expect.) They hurt me once… but now I joined them and I am a stronger man. Sorry… I was randomly lost in thought again…" Kaneki sighed as he gazed down onto y/n's minute form. "She's so cute…" he thought to himself.

Suddenly, something caught Kaneki's gaze. It was y/n's book, which had miraculously ended up right beside her. He lifted up the book with his strong manly muscular fingers as y/n blushed and looked away. He examined the cover with his wells of trauma and tragedy. "'The Beetle Who Swallowed An Unhealthy Amount Of Plastic by Sen Takatsuki'... That's one of my favorite authors as well…" y/n's orbs sparkled upon hearing that. "R-r-r-r-really?", she timidly muttered with her sweet voice. "Yeah…" Kaneki edgily mused to himself, the darkness of his tormented soul temporarily receding. y/n could be his petite teeny short solace through his life of pain and suffering… "There are so many metaphors… The plastic swallowed by the beetle represents the suffering and misery that all of us must go through in life…" y/n nodded, her beautiful eyes brimming with compassion for this beautiful, broken, tragic ghoul.

"...Well, I th-think I need to g-g-go…" y/n sighed, reluctant to abandon her handsome rescuer yet compelled by the forces of plot convenience. "No, don't go! I-" Kaneki searched his mind for a reason to make her stay. But… why? Why was he so desperate for her to stay? Maybe because his life had been an endless succession of misery and tragedy, and now she was there, with her petite frame and her juicy kneecaps and her quirky unique clumsiness, and he just couldn't let her go. He racked his deep philosophical tormented brain for an excuse for her to stay. "I know a place. A beautiful place where we can see the stars." y/n was intrigued. Her frame was usually too short for her to be able to properly see the stars, though she enjoyed their poetical philosophical deep twinkling. Her magnificent orbs full of wonder, she nodded eagerly, completely disregarding any notion of stranger danger. Kaneki lifted up her tiny minuscule light-weighted frame with one single hand, blushing at the contact with her soft warm adorable skin and breathing in her scent. Kaneki used his tentacle thingies to propel himself in the air and onto an adequately scenic rooftop. y/n was completely unfazed. As long as she was with Kaneki she felt safe. They both sat down right on the edge of the building. Suddenly, a leaf rustled past y/n's ear. Caught off-guard, y/n let out a tiny cute adorable gasp and leaped into Kaneki's strong muscular arms, as she burrowed her adorable face into his neck. "She's so cute~" Kaneki thought to himself as he blushed intensely. "A-a-a-a-ah! I didn't mean to bother you…", y/n stuttered as she awkwardly tried to slide off Kaneki's lap, but he held her there with his strong grip. y/n was also blushing now, a faint shade of toenail pink brushed over her velvety cheeks. Kaneki sat there in edgy brooding silence, as he thought to himself how cute y/n was.

y/n suddenly remembered something. "W-w-w-w-w-w-why did you s-s-s-s-save me?", she breathed with her faint melodious voice. Kaneki looked up with his darkness-ridden orbs as y/n's words hit him. He edgily pondered this question. Yes, after all, he had completely rejected humanity and the human world… He was a monster. He couldn't interact with them anymore. He would hurt and terrify and break the little innocent pure beautiful y/n. But… he now knew he couldn't live without her. His broken tragic life was only redeemed by the presence of this teeny short adorable beautiful person in his life. "It's because I saw you… and in your graceful moonlit orbs I saw love." Kaneki breathed out, his broken voice swelling with affection as he quoted the title of the general work he was being written in. y/n's cute, child-like eyes (as in-her eyes were shaped like children) widened at this confession, and she let out a tiny cute gasp of surprise. Kaneki was gazing at the stars, lost in edgy brooding contemplation. "You know, it's just like Sen Takatsuki says. The mitochondria truly is the powerhouse of the cell.", he sighed, as he contemplated how cruel and evil and broken their world was. Then he glanced at y/n's short tiny mini petite slim frame and her wonder-filled orbs, and he realized that maybe the world wasn't as bad, at least for as long as they were together.
