your love, served très doux

Summary:

What was supposed be a side hustle to be able to purchase a prized pudding machine turned into fleeting nights of talk, true feelings and just walking together.

sure it sounded simple, but for teruhashi and kuriko this job was what kept them bonded.

teruhashi changed her mind: was it really about saiki kusuo now?

or: kusuo saiki decides to work at a bakery/café that only hires girls for high pay and free desserts, only to realize he forgot that teruhashi worked there as well.

Chapter 1: prologue

Chapter Text

Saiki dug through his drawers, only to find them empty with small brittles of dust scraping against the sides. Empty. Nothing in them.

A grime face scratched into his eyeballs, pulling the corners of his mouth into an agonizing frown.

I’m….

He tore open his wallet, praying for something, only to find a few five yen coins.

The face of pure agony shined onto himX

Fucked.

Saiki had no money at all.

I could just get some money by transporting it here….”

“But I’d have to exchange something of the same value.

He sighed, feeling hopeless as the dinky coins rolled across his desk.

I don’t know what I’m gonna do,

He internally sighed.

I guess I’m just not that powerful.” He calmly stated, however the force of the magazine being shoved in his trashcan told the truth about his emotions.

Practically glowing on the label was a cute display of a yellow pudding maker: “10,000¥.

And right beside it?

Yet another cute arrangement of what looked like fancy yet chic displays of glasses, the kind put on sundaes. It could fit pudding as well: “5,000¥.

15,000¥

And Saiki was nowhere near getting that thing.
