i’m gagged, this was the most beautiful, lovingly written fairytale ever. it’s the feeling of warmth brought by a crackling hearth while a frigid blizzard blazes outside, a fantastical surreal dream. so much whimsy and beauty and joy is conveyed through dick’s fae perspective, that concept of forever and ever beyond eternity, beyond the veil is absolutely sublime. i knew this would be amazing right from the second paragraph:
“Change is the peach-pink sunrise, the rotted branch becoming the hearth’s warmth, the wild abandon of the first spring daisy popping into life. Change has always blessed him.”
