    Picking up 3 years after El's death, Mike still struggles to cope with her absence.
    Now in college, and living with Dustin, Mike is just trying to stay alive in a world that has moved on without him- and El.
    With advice from his therapist, he begins writing El letters- a recommended exercise to help with his grief, or as Mike sees it, an opportunity to potentially, finally, make contact with the girl he's certain is still alive.
