Summary
“Go on, introduce yourself,” With one last gentle push, the young boy stepped forward. He shuffled closer, eyes flicking to the ground every few seconds.
“Hi, my name's Mike,” he thrust his hand forward, startling Will. “Do you want to be my friend?” He questioned anxiously, empty hand still outstretched. After a brief moment of Will staring at him with wide doe eyes, he finally nodded and lifted his hand to greet Mike. The taller boy clasped it, but instead of shaking it, he gently brought it up to his lips and laid a soft, lingering kiss on his knuckles.
“Michael! That is the wrong greeting for a prince,” Mike flinched and pulled away, embarrassed.
“It’s okay, they are only children, Karen," Joyce stifled a laugh. “That was adorable, you have to admit.”
