   September 2006.

   Mike is a prominent journalist in the city, when an irresistible story comes across his desk. Drowning in his own grief, Mike takes the first opportunity to escape it. He returns to the Midwest, to a small lake town in Michigan where the only surviving witness in an old murder case is said to be living. But as he delves further into evidence, more than its secrets are cracked open.
