“Kill Summer Rose.”
Crimson. That was a color that followed Raven everywhere she went. From the lives she’d take under her parents' command, the blood that spilled from her body with each hit she’d take, or the blood that trickled down her sword. It was the only color she saw, and a deadly one at that.
Until a new color caught her eye - one much softer.
Silver. Such an odd shade for one's eyes. They were soft, gentle, and nothing like hers. They spoke the truth, something a leader could never do lest she failed her family.
“What is your name, my dear champion?”
“… Raven.”
Little did she know, she already had.
