Summary
Danica Barnes scanned the half-dining hall, half-dance floor of the Blue Velvet nightclub from her seat in the corner, swishing her glass of Cupid Juice in her hand as the nearby fireplace warmed the left side of her body. All of the regulars were there; some drinking and chatting among the scattered tables, some busting a move by the grand piano, and others coming to and fro from the bar down the hall on the far side of the room.
Danica, however, was here on a mission — one that took up most of her nights since moving to this quaint little town. She just needed the right woman to be her volunteer.
