Chapter Text

In sight, a light, shining across the sea,

For ocean waves obscured by black and gold.

Across that bridge is where I long to be,

Across the tile bound relic of the old.

A foot, I step, towards the shining tow’r,

Hold steadfast tread along the shifting slate.

I walk along, alone, for ‘round an hour,

Before I slip, into a seabound fate.

The light breaks through, the caustics of the waves,

I sink below the surface and the sky.

The ocean claims me in a wat’ry grave,

The light I sought to see I've been denied.

I grasp with effort to reverse the end,

But ocean water only seeks to rend.
