Chapter 1
It was a warm September day. Summer was about to end. The sun was still blazing hot, daring the school children to come play outside. But sadly, the school year had just started and the students were forced to settle into their uncomfortable chairs.
It was a happy day for Alexander. A chilly breeze hit his bald head, it was a temporary relief from the heat wave. He finally got a job! A pretty shitty job, but at least he gets to live his dream of watching little children.
It was a long walk to the school, because of his short legs and his limp, but he got there. He was wearing his blue skinny jeans (with a brown stain on the back), and his baby pink shirt. Alexander was very nervous. He was clutching his bag so tightly his knuckles were turning white. And then, he got the courage to walk in.
His blue orbs met the most beautiful pair of emerald eyes he had ever seen. They belonged to a woman with a sharp gaze, wearing a magenta coat and her hair tied up in a tight bun.
Alexander stopped in his tracks, mesmerized by the woman's beauty. He was left speechless. The woman was absolutely dazzling. Before he knew it, his legs were moving him to her direction. He stood before her for a moment, not knowing what to say. Then he finally muttered
"H-hello... "
"Good morning" she replied coldly.
"What is your name?" Alexander asked nervously.
"Maya" she raised her eyebrow, her gaze still cold as ever "What's your name?" Maya asked.
Her voice was like icicles piercing his chest, and he enjoyed every second of it.
"A-Alexander" he replied shyly.
"Well then, Alexander, how about I show you around?" Maya asked.
She spoke in a seductive tone of voice. She winked at him.
"Sure... " he replied softly.
Maya went on to show Alexander around the school. All the classrooms, the teacher's lounge, the meeting room. He got to talk to this beautiful woman that he already adored. Maybe this day wouldn't be so bad after all. He was nervous for nothing.
Alexander got to know a few things about Maya. She was the art teacher (obviously. To him, she looked like a piece of art), she was 46 years old (about 5 years younger than him), she liked to watch "House", and that she loved cats. It was small talk, really. Maya also gave him some teacher tips because he didn't know anything about being a teacher, the school was just desperate.
He smiled at a couple of girls passing by, but they got horrified by his face, so he stopped smiling at the kids and just looked at them.
The day was coming to an end, the school bell had rang and the children came pouring out of the school, some even running home. Pencils, erasers and small trinkets fell from the children's backpacks. Alexander grabbed a small cat trinket that had fallen and offered it to Maya.
"How nice! " she exclaimed. A smile finally plastered on her face.
It was the cutest thing Alexander had ever seen. He gave her his terrible smile and was forced to say goodbye to her.
"Goodbye!" He yelled. He waved goodbye at her happily.
"Goodbye... for now.. " she said softly.
