The birthday Plans
(Clock hits 2. Mike and Harvey are discussing a case revolving Kevin Brown.)
Harvey: I guess, This is our best strategy.
Mike: okay then, I'll call Kevin.
Harvey: He might- He will ask you to book an appointment with me...
Mike- and I will book it; for 2049.
Harvey- Naah, I am busy that year. Make it 2050.
(Mike leaves)
Donna- Are you even going to ask him?
Harvey- You mean TELL him? Let him come back.
Donna- Please tell me, you have atleast asked Rachel.
Harvey- I have. She was making some plans and then she moved it tomorrow night.
Donna- Did you make sure Mike doesn't have any plans?
Harvey- Donna! What are you trying to do? Make me Cancel it?
Mike- Cancel what now? (Donna and Harvey find Mike standing at the door) I.. forgot the yellow file. Steve is up for the Kevin's case.
(Donna hints Harvey to ask Mike)
Harvey- What are your plans tonight Mike?
Mike- Why should I tell you?
Harvey- I am throwing a huge party tonight and you are coming.
Mike- As if. Not intrested.
Harvey- Come on.
Donna- Mike, Did you really assume that he would forget you birthday?
Mike- I was hoping. However, I knew- you wouldn't forget it Donna.
(A mailman enters from behind)
Mailman- Mike Ross?
(His eyes looking for a response from either of the men)
Mike- it's me.
Harvey- all other mailman drop mails at reception.
Mailman- they won't either, if it says that i need his signatures. To see if he personally recieves it.
Mike- Right. You are good, man. Thanks.
(The mailman leaves)
Donna- what is that, a personal birthday wish? Someone special?
Mike- I am just as curious- as you are.
(Mike opens the letter. His eyes concentrating on the piece of a letter. His eyebrows scrunch for a moment, released immediately after)
Mike- looks like the party is getting cancelled anyway. I might need to go-
Harvey- everything alright?
Mike- no yeah, I will update you soon. I need to check the the authenticity first. I'll- umm.. I'll go.
(He leaves)
Donna- should we- be worried?
Harvey- I am sure whatever it is, he can handle it. What was the Cancellation fee again?
( the time now is 8 pm, Rachel comes into Harvey's office. Harvey is just finishing up his last report)
Rachel- I thought there was a party.
Donna- he is not here.
Rachel- (places his purse on the adjacent chair and grabs a seat) So, you made me Cancel my plans and now urs are going nowhere?
Harvey- I assumed, he canceled on us to be with you?
Rachel- I haven't seen him after our Lunch.
Harvey- He left early. I was calling him to locate this file too. 'Hardman's financial history in our firm'.
Rachel- Mike had it during lunch.
Donna- It must be in his office, I'll go check.
(Donna finds the file in Mike's office. And notices the same letter, delivered to him, peeking from a half opened drawer)
Donna- nope- its personal.
(Back in Harvey's office)
Harvey- Don't worry. He will definitely get back to you soon. You know sometimes, when lawyers find a trail they can't stop themselves from being detectives. They loose track of time.
Rachel- not all lawyers. Just the one we know. Typical- MIKE ROSS. well, okay I will see you tomorrow.
Next morning-
Harvey(he finds donna, on his way walking towards Mike's office)- Is he back?
Donna- no. And Rachel called- she is stressed too.
(Harvey stops in his tracks, his heart beating a little faster now)
Donna- no no keep walking, I saw the letter he recieved yesterday. It must be important or connected.
(Donna finds the letter and hands it to Harvey)
Harvey(after reading it)- its a summon, to a private meeting. about Kevin miller. Sender states that he has very strong and influential information about his case. It could send- (something immediately clicks in his mind). This dimwit. (Searches something up on his phone) he walked into a shitty TRAP!! (Harvey's breaths becoming laboured now, he calls mike)
Donna- what's wrong?
Harvey- FIND out. If gallo is still in his cell. Please?
Donna- yes. Okay.. (leaves to for her desk)
Harvey- pick up! Pick up! (The call doesn't get through. He desperately tries once again, he starts walking towards Donna's desk too)
Donna is still on call.
Harvey- he is doomed. We need to go now!
Donna- but I-
Harvey- NOW DONNA!
Donna- your appointments?
Harvey- Cancel- postpone! I don't care.
