Chapter Text
Hongjoong woke up the second he heard the bedroom door opening. He had, surprisingly, fallen asleep the minute he touched the bed after coming back from the studio and he was very comfy hugging Seonghwa against his body. Either way, he still heard the door opening and a few seconds later someone pushed his shoulder softly.
He opened his eyes with all the restraint that sleep had over him and tried to ignore the person behind him. The person, incredibly stubborn, pushed again and again until Hongjoong turned his head, trying not to wake up his boyfriend.
“Wooyoung,” he all but growled in the other’s face. “What in the hell do you want?”
The boy blinked and looked at him like a confused kid. For a very terrifying second Hongjoong thought Wooyoung was gonna tell him he threw up.
“What are we gonna do for my birthday?”
Hongjoong blinks and tries to search for anything that indicates this is a very, very dumb joke. He tries to see if there’s any crease in Wooyoung’s mouth and eyes that indicated he was trying not to laugh, then he looked for San at the door but he wasn’t there. He looked for any red lights that came from a hidden camera and then he finally realized he was probably thinking too much.
He looked back at Wooyoung and almost died when he saw the most innocent expression on his face.
“What.”
“My birthday is next week. And I want to know what we're gonna do for it. We don’t have schedules that day.”
They both freeze when Seonghwa grumbles something under his breath and turns around, hiding his face in Hongjoong’s neck and hugging him around the waist. It takes another second for him to relax against his body and Wooyoung waits until Seonghwa starts breathing slowly again to speak.
“What are we gonna do for my birthday-?”
“I heard you the first time,” Hongjoong groans, brushing a hand against his face. “I don’t know. I’ll talk to Seonghwa in the morning,” he puts emphasis in the last part and looks at Wooyoung with the worst leader eyes he can muster when he’s so tired. “Now, please, go to sleep and don’t get out of bed until the sun comes up.”
Wooyoung nods and turns around to leave. When he’s at the door and Hongjoong is already trying to close his eyes, he hears his voice, unnecessarily loud and annoying.
“I’ll tell mom you didn’t prepare anything for me.”
Hongjoong throws a pillow at him.
