Summary
“Fortune strives to fill the vacuum that it feeds / but it’s beginning to feel like / the dog's lost the lead…”
The (alternate) fall of Atlas, as seen through Qrow’s and Winter’s eyes. Winter is initially in denial about her General, while Qrow finds himself a little too distracted by a lucky man with the bluest eyes around…
But even then, not all is lost. They just have to trust in themselves and in each other. It is a tall order, asking a Schnee to trust a Branwen. But it's becoming increasingly clear that it's either that, or lose Atlas forever.
And Winter point-blank refuses to admit defeat. She will save Atlas, come hell or high water.
"…You set your sights so high / but this is beginning to feel like / the bolt busted loose from the lever"
