Summary
Frylock and Shake get married—purely for financial gain, of course.
“If your household circumstances change,” he read, “you may be eligible for reassessment under joint filing status.”
Shake blinked. “Joint what now?”
Frylock’s mouth felt dry. “They’re talking about married households.”
The word landed wrong. It lingered heavily in the air, unwelcome.
There was a beat. Then Shake barked out a laugh. “Oh. Oh my god. Oh, that’s good.”
“Shake—”
“You hear that, Meatwad?” Shake said, pointing wildly. “We just gotta get gay-married for the IRS! Finally, my lifelong dream: matrimony for tax purposes!”
