Shedletsky's Decent into Unfavorable Habits

Summary:

So basically, I'll explain shit in the notes, but none of this is actually forsaken. It's tagged that way because some of the hc's and stuff added is from forsaken, but there will be no chance, two-time, or azure.

Notes:

I know this is balls and won't be regularly updated but I needed to post it somewhere gang. Also if you come over here to rant about me not getting to requests often please fuck off I'm trying to balance shit rn.

And- uh- I'm shit at starting stuff too so just know 1x is important for later!

Work Text:

1x1x1x1, The Adversary, The Daemonshank wielder, a being able to infect anything its blade passes through. Majority of Robloxia's inhibits know the story of how the being had slain the great Telamon. It became the local horror story, spread around like the worst disease. The being itself kept to shadows, never found and its existence becoming some sort of a myth.

Those that do not believe the story simply say Telamon disappeared. His presence slowly forgotten just as The Adversary's. Many claimed myth to both after over 300 years passing, especially with Shedletsky showing up out of nowhere and the sfoth opening its doors again.

Shedletsky knew the story too, he had heard it a million times after he 'inherited' the Sfoth. Secretly, he believes he was made for the sfoth, seeing as his earliest memory was him in the skybox, curled in thick cloth and wings unpreened. Builderman appeared soon after, crying and calling out for someone Shedletsky couldn't hear. Builderman eventually explained his job was to take over Telamons old job and control the sfoth, as well as the duties of an admin, which brought to life the idea of paperwork and boredom to Shedletsky.

So after introductions, going to HQ, more introductions, and him receiving a name and proper title as an admin, he was set out.

And he hated it.

Sure, Builderman talked to him frequently, helped lead him and taught him what to do when something like a bug in the code happened. Shedletsky didn't mind his company, nor the company of Dusekarr or Brighteyes, but the time he spent alone weighed down on him almost as much as when one of them stood there. watching him and waiting for him to do- something different.

The man chalked it up to them missing Telamon, though with everything bad he had heard of the older avian that didn't quite make sense either. It could be them searching for him to do something like Telamons old tantrums, but he had made it clear he didn't have anger issues. In fact Shedletsky was very hard to anger, and he rarely was serious about things outside of safety or food.

After a few years, Builderman made his existence public. Stated he was the successor to Telamon, and let Shedletsky go out into Robloxia to 'explore'. His first excursion led to him figuring out money, and what clothing most people saw as acceptable. He was paid sure, but he didn't really feel he needed the money so most of it went to city repairs or- anything Brighteyes complained about really. He bought food every once and a while, but he really didn't care about eating as often as he did exploring.

The world around him was beautiful. Cities and towns had their perks, the sfoth was incredible with its large pillars and fiery aesthetic, but the old experiences he traveled to were the best. Iron Cafe with its abandoned apartment complexes and ever present lightshow, a story of what used to be considered 'the place to be'. Battlefront games, exciting places to see old war ridden lands. Imagining what the world was like before he existed was one of Shedletsky's favored pass-times.

While he stood above the valley of some old horse based experience, the cliffside trembled. His gaze turned back, wings tight in their binding. Doombringer stood there, slightly awkward but with purpose. He de-summoned his Banhammer and moved to Shedletskys side, watching the avian for a moment before looking out into the valley.

"Builderman requests you back at HQ. Says not to be 'fashionably' late this time."

Shedletsky hummed, pulling up his Admin panel.

"Do apologize to him on my behalf, but getting ready to see the big man himself takes a while, ya'know?"

Doombringer frowned, but he should have expected this. Shedletsky was never one to take a meeting seriously, who was Doom to think the Sfoth owner would change now.

Shedletsky tapped a few things on the panel before he blipped out of existence.

Doombringer took out a cigar and lit it, slowly inhaling and staring out into the abandoned pastures and wild herds. He had to hand it to Shed, he picked some damn beautiful places to hang out and ignore work.

Shedletsky popped into existence again in the skybox, immediately hightailing it back to his room across from Telamon's old nest. He didn't actually plan on freshening up, rather deciding how he should dramatically arrive late just to see Builderman's reaction to him showing up 10 minutes late to some boring meeting about how HQ was getting more renovations or some hacker group has risen up and not a week later, will be taken down. It had grown too repetitive, so Shedletsky took it upon himself to liven up the party.

It didn't take more then 5 minutes for him to plan out how to enter, a simple slip in and scare Dusekarr would work, the Mage was unpredictable when spooked, and after last time and the mini fireworks he was bound to do something funny this time too.

With a plan in motion, he quickly teleported to the office and started to sneak his way to the meeting room. When he got there his face soured, Dusekarr had moved to the opposite side of the table from the door. So be it, the window was open and it wouldn't be the first time he climbed the window just to frighten or shock someone.

Except someone tapped his shoulder, startling the prankster and making him droop as he turned to ReeseMcBlox.

"Heyyy Reese... I was just about to go in! Funny seeing you outside of the meeting room so late-"

She huffed, pointing to the door.

"Go in then, Mr. Late-as-can-be."

Shedletsky sighed and dragged himself into the meeting room, Reese behind him and making sure the avian made it in.

"Shedletsky, glad to see you could join us. Late for a good reason this time?"

He turned to Builderman as he took his seat, huffing and acting like he was interrupted from something important.

"Yes, one of my swords was unpolished and the grindstone wasn't going fast enough, so I had to stay a bit to fix-"

"Save the bull, Shed. Stop being late to every meeting and maybe you would get to ask Brighteyes for coffee or a pastry before she leaves to get ours."

Shedletsky pouted, wilting a bit and staring at the table.

"I'll try, Buildsy."

Builderman scoffed, no actual malice in his actions, and lined up his papers before handing most to Reese so she could hand them out.

"There ain't gonna be a 'try' next time, it's either you're here when called or you're not."

The avian couldn't help but whine dramatically and lean on the table, watching the meeting start and true enough, it was about some mundane hacker that was around natural disasters and WAAPP more then they should be.

When Shedletsky was let go, he left for the skybox and decided the rest of the day would be spent out and about, talking with the locals in WAAPP and seeing if that hacker would fight him. Was it a good idea? Not at all. He was going to get in so much trouble, but it would be worth it to have some excitement today.

WAAPP was noticeably barren, of course Elliot and Lulu were there, working. Dued1 was out for the day to manage helping Luke fix up his experience. Shedletsky saw this as a perfect excuse to 'patrol'. He didn't actually patrol, rather hid in the restaurant behind a comically suspicious newspaper from 3 months ago, nibbling a pizza slice. Lulu was always a sweetheart and slid him a slice from the day before, never spoiled but stale and un-servable.

Shedletsky enjoyed his free meal and waited, looking over the puzzle from the issue he held, yoinked from the top of a dumpster he passed on the way here. It didn't take long for someone to show, a cocky young adult with a burger hat and a mask of a red smiling devil on top. His shirt was red, with the words 'Join Team C00lkidd today!'. A black tail summoned and wagging from under the hackers bomber jacket. It wasn't the best disguise, but it was easy to pick out that the terrorist meant for this to be common mischief, not a serious attack. Though the shirt was a bit worrying, was this a group rather then individual?

The avian smiled from behind the newspaper, placing it down and watching as the hacker pulled up his poorly put together GUI and yapped his monologue to a tired Elliot and a nervous Lulu.

The second Shedletsky caught sight of malicious code making the cash register catch fire, he pulled his link sword from his inventory and called out, stance confident.

"Hey! Hacker~ wanna fight a big bad admin rather then pick on small employees?"

The hacker turned, body language portraying shock before they hunch over a bit, tail starting to thrash. The terrorist tried to adopt an edgy and serious manner, some voice mod made years ago just for this type of work crackling to life as the younger one spoke.

"You think a joke of an admin like you scares me? You will be six feet under when I'm done with you!"

Shedletsky just scoffed at the poor attempt at being intimidating.

"Well? Come at me then, unless your chicken!"

C00lkidd fell for it quickly, lunging and summoning a poor excuse for a battle axe. The blade dull and one-sided. Shedletsky snorted at the weapon and dodged to the side before pushing his sword forward, aiming for the limbs. Both danced around, weapons held in such differing experience that to any gathering onlookers, it was obvious Shedletsky was toying with the hacker rather then taking it seriously.

Elliot turned from watching and instructed Lulu to go evacuate the building and experience. Elliot himself stayed behind to make sure Shedletsky didn't fumble or do something stupid. The admin wasn't known for doing things with actual precision, rather just goofing off or ragebaiting others until he got himself in a bad situation.

C00lkidd landed a strike on Shedletsky's leg, and the admin tumbled to the side. The fight quickly shifted, with C00lkidd taking the offense while the admin finally realized now was not the time to not take a fight seriously. The pizza worker watching immediately pulled up his phone, calling Dued1 and explaining that Shedletsky was losing, much to the admins later embarrassment.

After a few moments of adrenaline filled fighting, C00lkidd slipped. The axes dull side hit the side of the admins head hard, and for him the world tilted and grew dark. The hacker caught himself and stared, 3 months into hacking publicly and he had beaten the SFOTH owner in a fight...

And what an embarrassing fight to win against him in, luckily no one was recording the hackers stumble.

He looked up, glancing at the blue flash from behind the entrance, and decided he needed to book it now. Without a thought, led by the left over adrenaline, C00lkidd grabbed Shedletsky's unconscious body by the chest and started up the 3 second windup to teleport. 1 second to spare and Dued1 comes rushing, missing the now kidnapper by a hairs length.

The pizzeria falls into silence as Elliot and Dued1 stare at where Shedletsky was, processing that the admin was taken with.

C00lkidd hauled the heavy avian along into the apartment he scammed the lease for online, dropping the admin on the stolen couch and starting to panic. He didn't mean to take them, and he definitely didn't want to keep him there for long, but where to dump him and make sure he didn't die at the same time?

He could contact Itrapped and his group, see if they would take the blame in return for the admin as a hostage. 7n7 knew both Itrapped and Ellernate would love to taunt Builderman with the knowledge that they had Shedletsky somewhere, trapped and unable to go back to the SFOTH.

But that would be cruel to the admin, and 007n7 didn't really look to hurt people, he just wanted to get some messages across and got side tracked in the fun of it all.

It could take hours for 7n7 to figure out a solution, but for now- he needed to calm down and probably call Noli, see if the god in hiding would back him up. Both had been talking about the current government system, society, and stupid shit for a while, maybe they were close enough to share such a wild and stupid problem?

007n7 tossed his mask away and slipped his hoodie off, deciding to change and eat an expired ramen cup while contemplating what he was supposed to do about being a kidnapper.

... Oh man, he was a kidnapper. Screw every thought of going into a coding or literature field, he was going to be locked up in banlands before he could even try to explain his 'moral rights'. What was he going to tell Noli anyway, that he kidnapped an admin? That he fought an admin? He would have died or worse should the admin he fought be literally anyone else.

007n7 was the luckiest Robloxian on the planet, and subsequently the unluckiest, or just the most stupid.
