Chapter Text
Tim drifted through the crowded party, the blaring music and lights giving him a headache. The air lingered with the smell of sweat, alcohol, and a smell that could only be described as horny college students.
God, where's Kon? He thought, feeling his stress rising every passing second. Tim had never been one for parties; it was just too crowded, and everyone always wanted something. Whether it be for you to have sex, give them a ride, or even to join their fraternity.
Kon, on the other hand, loved parties, and half the time he'd try to drag Tim along, but his attempts were never too successful. The one time he actually agrees, Kon immediately ditches him. So now he was stuck in a house full of people he didn't know, looking for Kon so he could get out of here.
Tim slipped upstairs, still on his quest to find Kon. There were still a decent amount of people upstairs but considerably less. He looks around; still no Kon. Tim needed fresh air. The cramped space and anxiety were starting to make Tim dizzy. Tim slipped back downstairs and out the door. He felt the cold crisp air fill his lungs. Maybe Kon already left. Maybe he left with some girl. Tim felt jealousy at the idea. He pushed the idea to the back of his mind, however accurate it might be…
He sighed walking to his car when he saw it: Kon sucking face with some girl. Tim felt his heart shatter; he always tried not to let it affect him, but he just couldn't stand it. He didn't know what he expected; this always happened. Kon wasn't going to suddenly fall to his knees. Tell Tim that he was only in love with him and only ever wanted to be with him. Tim laughed at the thought; it was one of the core rules of their him, relationship: they don't label things.
As Kon pulls away, he spots Tim, Kon goes stiff. Tim just keeps walking, letting out a little scoffed as he walked past Kon. Kon stepped away from the girl "I'm sorry I have talk to him" Kon said before quickly following after Tim. Tim continued walking as if Kon didn't exist "Dude wait!" Tim didnt even bat an eye at Kon's plea. They were at Tim's car by the time Tim stopped for him. "I'm going home Kon" Tim said sternly "You came come now but I'm not staying at this damn party".
Tim was frustrated with Kon but he was more so angry with himself. He thought since Kon hadn't been hooking up with girls alot and been spending more time with him— Tim cut his thought off it was stupid anyway, and the worst part was he could only blame himself for being so foolish… for getting his hopes up.
"Okay Tim," Kon said piercing through Tim's thoughts. "Lemme just say bye, and we'll go home." Tim sighed before responding "I'll be in the car" Tim felt the sleet slush crush under his feet as he walked to the car door. His hands wrapped around the cold handle, he gave once more look at Kon, chatting with the girl he kissed before getting into the car. Tim loathed that girl he knew she didn't do anything wrong, he knew he had no right to feel that way, but still… Tim took a deep breath centering himself. He didn't even notice Kon slipping into the passenger seat of the car.
"Are we going to your apartment or mine?" Kon asked, slumping in his seat. "Depends how drunk are you?" Tim said flatly, raising an eyebrow. "What does that even matter?" Kon slurred lightly hitting Tim's shoulder. "I don't like screwing you when you're drunk, you know this." Tim let his neutral facade slip up. Allowing bitterness and annoyance to slip into his voice, because Kon knew this, he knew Tim didn't even like kissing Kon when he was drunk. "Whoah baby, calm down, it's not that serious." Kon said, putting his arm around Tim's shoulder. The smell of beer hot and heavy on his breath. "Plus, I never said we had to do anything. We could just, you know, watch a movie or something." Tim looked at Kon and sighed, "Fine, but get your arm off me, I need to drive."
By the time they make it to Tim's apartment Kon was half way asleep "Kon wake up". Tim said nudging Kon's shoulder. Kon just muttered something incoherent and rolled over onto his side. "Kon come on wake up!" he said full on shaking him at this point. Kon groaned his eyes flickering open, he swatted at Tim's hand. "Okay, okay, I'm awake!"
"Good," Tim huffed "now come on we still need to pick a movie to watch, and I've got some new VHS's" Kon sneered "Is it cool or is it that weird anime stuff you like?" Tim huffed crossing his arm. "First anime is NOT weird, second I was actually nice enough to get some of those corny actions movies you like." Kon just laughed "Wow Tim you just couldn't stop thinking about me?" Kon nuzzed into the shell of his ear. "God you're such a little fag for me aren't you?"
Tim completely froze, 'fag' Kon had just called him a fag… wow. It didn't even feel hateful it felt more intimate like a word of affection instead of a slur. Tim really wasn't sure how to respond mainly cause he wasn't sure how Kon even ment it. He was taken of his thoughts when Kon cupped his face and tucked a strand of hair behind his ear. Tim looks up at Kon, but as soon as they make eye contact Kon pulled away. "It's cold in here let's go inside" Kon said quickly and almost emotionlessly. Kon turned away from Tim and got out of the car.
Tim just sat there for a second. Him mind trying to fully register what happened before he realized that Kon was waiting for Tim to open the door to his apartment. Tim forced himself to get out of the car and walk up to his apartment door. Tim unlocked the door letting both him and Kon in.
They made their way to the couch an akward silence between them. "The VHS's are over there" Tim mentioned, breaking the silence."Um okay" Kon said. Eventually he picked out Ghost Busters. The silence between them not getting any better but the movie helped destact them both.
Tim pulled a blanket over himself. God, the day had been so draining. His eyes felt heavy, he started to fall asleep when he felt something wrap around him. It took his a second to realize it was Kon, but at that point he was too tired to do anything about it.
So he just closed his eyes and let sleep take him.
