Jaewon doesn’t recognise their faces. Not because he hasn’t seen them properly, but because they’ve changed faster than he can keep up with. Jaewon isn’t dumb, he knows the reason why. But still he deludes himself; that the reward of his choices is worth the cost. Even when he alienates the others from himself. Even when they may truly believe the false rumours. Even when he’s left behind, suffering in the chains his CEO holds him with, like a dog. Still, why does he feel like the walls around his heart squeeze tight. Jaewon recognises the broad backs of the other members as they stand straight, tall and triumphant whist he slouches and hides away from the glares in the crowd. When he tries to remember a time he could be there, standing by their side, a photo he still stores in his room- from pre-debut- comes to mind. With everyday he latches onto it more as the aching night stretches on.
