Summary
After growing up in the middle of the overachieving Malfoy family, Vela has made a quiet life for herself in New York City. Her days are filled with sketchbooks, literature classes, and specialty lattes–all the small things that bring her joy.
Halfway across the country, Auggie McCandless has built a much busier life for himself. Between high stakes Auror work in MACUSA's Dallas office, rodeo competitions, and running the family ranch on his own, he has little time for anything else.
By chance, a college project brings these two childhood friends back in contact as letters begin to fly back and forth across the country. Sparks fly and feelings grow as Vela and Auggie settle into a routine that quickly becomes the brightest part of their days.
