Jason wanted to propose to Percy. He just needed a ring first.
Percy was at work, and Jason thought it the perfect time to go out shopping for a ring.
He walked into the first jewelry store and took a look at their rings. There were both gold and silver rings, but none of them called out to him, so he moved on.
Jason walked into the second store and one of the workers immediately came up to him and asked if he needed help, Jason explained that he was looking for a ring for his partner, and the worker immediately pulled out a couple rings, both gold and silver, for Jason to take a look at and see if there was one he wanted. He looked over them, but again, none of them really called out to him.
The worker asked what he was looking for, and Jason said he wanted something gold, but after that he didn’t know. The worker hummed and led Jason to a different display box to show him more gold options. The worker was pulling some out when Jason’s eye caught on one. It had a deep blue/green gem in the middle, with lighter blue gems along the side, and where there were gems, it looked almost like a wave pattern.
Jason asked the worker about it and he pulled it out so Jason could take a closer look at it.
Once Jason got a closer look at it, he knew it was the one for Percy.
The worker smiled, grabbing a box for it, after making sure the size would fit Percy, and packaged it up before ringing Jason up. Jason thanked the worker and left the store, feeling a bit anxious and excited at the thought of making Percy his fiancé.
