The sharp copper is both grounding and nauseating. Drake left him with blood in his mouth more than once, but so have a lot of fights. He turns to the memory of his fists hitting flesh for solace.
"Did you know?" Knox asks, like he has any idea of what he's talking about. Maybe he does, because he sounds a little like Neil does, when he talks around Proust and Drake. Like it's wounding him too, even if it didn't happen to him.
