Chapter 1: Introduction

Chapter Text

Olivia Park, probably the closest thing on this ruined earth to a god. She owned the Park and franchise that practically ruled the earth, with the said franchise being Princess Guinevere. She was the heart and soul of the park, Its a shame both her heart and soul weren’t real. Guinevere was an android, reason being It was much simpler. Androids dont age, dont need to be paid, are usually obedient, and you can toy with them until they’re up to your standards. There were multiple other types of Guinevere’s, but the most popular and the main mascot was Princess Guinevere. It was the most appealing to kids or something, you didn’t concern yourself with It too much.

As for you, you were an android as well. Probably for the same reasons as Guinevere, even If on the surface It seems simpler just hiring a human. Although you weren’t created for the same purpose as any of the Guinevere’s. You see while theres hundreds If not thousands Olivia only ever truly cared about one. The first ever Guinevere, It was a gift from her father Orville Park due to help make up for the absence of her mother. Saying Olivia had an obsession with that specific Guinevere was an understatement. She was with her every second of every day, doing god knows what In the room that no one except her father dared to enter.

Nobody knew what she was doing to that Guinevere, and nobody was brave enough to find out. But anyone could guess that It wasn’t anything pleasant knowing Olivia’s reserved personality. But what put the nail In the coffin for that theory Is that there were multiple reports of that Guinevere trying to escape, every day for years there was an attempt reported of the Guinevere trying to escape. She tried everything, even If her escape attempt was guaranteed to end In death she still tried, and every time she was brought back. Whether she was alive or dead, she was always forced to return against her will. And every time she came back damaged she was fixed back to perfection by Olivia by the next day.

But one day Guinevere’s attempt ended In a success for her. It was Olivia’s birthday, when her and her father Orville were watching the park from above. The Guinevere loomed behind them, her organs and blue blood slowly dripping out of her body. Olivia grabbed her Intestines and pulled her closer, like pulling a dog on a leash.

“Isn’t It pretty?” Olivia said to the Guinevere In a casual tone, as If she hadn’t just dragged her along with Guinevere’s Insides

“Yes, so very—“ The Guinevere suddenly began glitching, bending over slightly In pain. Orville placing his hand on Olivia’s shoulder as If Guinevere was the threat In this situation. Suddenly the Guinevere ran as fast as she could, jumping off the balcony of the castle and plummeting down Into the park. Falling hundreds of meters down, It was obvious she would meet a certain death once she reached the bottom. But she didn’t just hit the bottom… Inside she fell down a drain of some sort, behind them scenes of where a regular park visitor could see. She was knocked Into unconscious and her body was left there In nature’s hands.

As Guinevere was falling down to a certain “death” Orville spoke up, “Ill get security” he said as this was a common occurrence.

“Theres no need,” Olivia said looking at the view of which her Guinevere just jumped Into “They’ll bring her back, they always do.” Little did Olivia know that this was the last time she’d see *her* Guinevere In decades.

No matter how many searches, no matter how many people, no matter what price Orville and Olivia were willing to pay to find that Guinevere. They never did. When she wasn’t found after a few hours reality started setting In for Olivia. “Its never taken this long…” she thought to herself. After a few months she’d gone Insane, there would be Intense breakdowns every minute. She couldn’t cope with the fact that *her* Guinevere was out In god knows where and not In her castle, In her control.

Overtime, and after Intense therapy Olivia calmed down. She began to throw herself Into her work nonstop, making all types of Guineveres for the parks marketing and what not, although she still had her sights set on finding her first Guinevere. Eventually Orville passed, which gave the park’s full responsibility and future to Olivia. But overtime the park’s reputation began to plummet like the Guinevere. As the years passed Olivia began to age and she was no longer able to continue to create Guineveres, but still, she was desperate to find her first Guinevere. Still sending out other androids and humans In hopes to retrieve her yet all missions seemed to end In failure.

But this Is where you come In, you were one of the androids Olivia built In an attempt to find Guinevere. Although you were different than the other androids created, even If you all had the same purpose. You were rarely sent out of the castle on a mission for the Guinevere. And your approach was MUCH more human like than any other non-Guinevere androids. To be honest you might even look more human than a Guinevere with your skin being the colour of what a human would have, Instead of the blueish grey skin that a Guinevere would have.

You spent your days cooped up In your castle with literally nothing to do. But you didn’t feel bored, you couldn’t feel. You were an android, anything feelings you felt were purely artificial and you’ve known that since day one.

You were In your room, laying on your bed on your side. Staring at the movement of your clock on the wall. You didn’t really care about the time, the movement was just something that Intrigued you and In a way helped pass the time. Even If you’ve always known that It doesn’t actually speed anything up. You noticed a gentle light on the wall beside the clock, you turn around looking at your window where the light source was from. The sun had risen and It was now daytime. You were up the whole night, and you were all the time. After all you couldn’t sleep, sleep was reserved for humans which you definitely weren’t. You never admitted It but you were always curious about sleep, what It was like when you woke up. Was the well-rested feeling when you wake up really so good that you’d spend hours unconscious for It?

You slowly sat up as you heard your door creak open, turning to see who It Is you see your manager or supervisor Micheal. Even though Micheal was a perfectly fine name In your opinion he Insisted to everyone he ever met to call him “Micky” and almost everyone obliged without question.

“Heya, I got some news for you. Big news” He said amusingly, smiling. For some reason he had a pretty unserious demeanour despite the serious environment he worked In.

“Well, go on.” You said, with your expressionless face plastered on you, like always.

“We finally have something on the ‘Guinevere Case’. A piece of blue hair was found and once It was tested It was proven to come from the first Guinevere.” He said this all still smiling, he must be getting a raise out of this or something. He walked towards your window looking out of It while he continued. You sat on your bed facing his back as he spoke.
“Its finally time to put you In action,” He turns around to face you head on now “The Guinevere has been spotted to be taken by two humans, she seems to be operating too despite the amount of time thats passed. They’re keen on entering the park, probably to get a piece to help the Guinevere. So they’ve been around, and they’ll be back.”

Safe to say you were surprised about this, even If It wasn’t reflected In your expression. “How long has been since Ive been created for such a task..?” You thought to yourself. Five. It was five years.

“So what do you need me to do?” You asked, wondering what your role In this mission would be.

“You and some others will be sent to where they were last spotted and Investigate, see If they left anything behind. You’ll also be In charge of that mission” You weren’t sure but It seems like his smile lifted a bit more when he said that “You’ll be the only android on that mission therefore making you the strongest and most capable one there. I trust you’ll do well Y/n, even If you’ve never done anything like this before.” He crossed his arms looking slightly excited, yup someone’s definitely got a nice raise.

You nod your head once he’s done speaking “Very well, I will not falter”

He nods and exits the room “Ill give you more Info soon, but for now just wait and let your robotic mind rest.”

Once he’s gone you lie back down on the bed, wondering how he’s so sure you’ll do well when you’ve never done anything like this before. “Must be somewhere In my programming” You thought to yourself.
