Work Text:
Chika sat on the couch in their luxurious and mildly disorganized apartment. It had been awhile since the fight between Noroshi and Furin and yet that night still felt fresh in his mind.
Because something was wrong. Endo was wrong, he'd been acting weird since then, and they couldn't figure out why. He was doing the same things as normal, and Chika even started talking more, acknowledging him more, but Chika couldn't help but notice how Endo stared less- rather he'd often look away from Chika whenever he spoke and it bothered him.
Chika tried to brush the thoughts off but some indescribable feeling gnawed at his chest.
Endo walked into the living room and noticed Chika spacing out slightly, a soft smile he only ever showed around Chika spreading on his face as he walked over and sat down by Chika, letting the silence linger so Chika could work on sorting through his thoughts. Because despite Endo's endless list of things to ramble on about he always knew when to be quiet- unless he was purposefully trying to piss Chika off for some reason.
"Endo." Chika looked over suddenly. And as usual for Endo's weird shift in attitude, he looked away. "Yamato Endo," he repeated.
".. Yes Takiishi?" Endo almost seemed hesitant to reply but his voice was even.
"Why do you keep looking away?" Chika asked bluntly. Endo paused, not responding right away. Chika got up and walked around to where Endo was facing, and Endo turned the other way, covering his face with his sleeve.
"Yamato Endo." Chika gave up and just grabbed Endo's face to make him look over. Endo's face is bright red and the most flustered he's ever looked. ".. why are you red? Are you sick?" Endo just blinked.
"... eh?”
