"I might be almost forty, but that doesn't mean I don't recognise the smell of you going into heat," Jason growled back, finally showing some rage at how his omega was misbehaving, "where's your mate, Stray?"
Dick huffed, mocking surprise as he shook his head at the question.
"What? Is the big bad Red Hood worried about me now? Colour me surprised," He hissed the last words with as much venom in his tone as he could, "after a decade of radio silence, I didn't think you could give less of a shit."
"Where is your alpha, Dick?" Jason growled back, every word hanging heavy in the air around them, almost as if it were a fault in the omega to have an alpha who wasn't Jason as a mate. That was enough to kickstart an omegan growl from Dick himself, who pushed forward, thrusting a clawed finger onto his alpha's chest.
"I don't have one, you big idiot!"
