“TRAVELLER!” A high-pitched voice shouted out, knees crashing into sand as little hands shook the golden haired girl “T-Traveller get up!”
It was a hot day in Summer day in Teyvat. The traveller, Lumine, had taken a commission where she’d have to travel into Sumeru Desert and it wasn’t a commission she could spend time preparing for, and she certainly didn’t expect a sand storm to separate her and paimon.
“Paimon!? Paiiimooooon!” She called out to no avail, “no no no was she blown away!?”

Lumine frantically scoured her environment, trying to locate her floating companion... But all she could see were the ever shifting sand dunes. She could’ve sworn she was running in circles trying to find Paimon, or any sign of anyone friendly for that matter... But there was no luck, she was alone and the heat was starting to get to her.
When Lumine checked her bag, she found that she hasn’t gotten any cryo essences, must flower cores or even bottles cryo slime with her, and her water bottle had all but evaporated... Leaving her no choice but to keep moving.
She eventually saw a shadow moving ... But it was nothing but a desert creature, she drew her sword. The fight took way longer then it should’ve but she managed to kill it, but just moments later everything went to black and she passed out.

Paimon was flying around in a panic, making whines of worry and anxiety.
“don’t worry Paimon I’m sure we’ll find her, she is strong afterall right?” a powerful voice rang out, it was Dehya, and another spoke.
“Indeed but today is particularly harsh” Candace replied, “and how often do you know Paimon and the traveller not to be side by side?”
“I suppose that is true, hopefully the others get the message to be akademya, we’ll need plenty of help” she said in reply before Paimon butted in.
“The traveller absolutely hates hot weather! And when we took this commission it was far to rushed to grab any supplies! She must be burning up out there! Ohhh noooo this isn’t good at all” the fairy spoke, “what if she fell into a cave without water? Or got in a fight with a bunch of Pyro element creatures?”
Dehya and Candace tried comforting Paimon and following her, but they couldn’t even catch her by the cape with the worried movements of the fairy. As the sun was beginning to reach it’s peak, Paimon saw a glitter of a familiar gold and suddenly rushed forwards.
“TRAVELLER!” Paimon’s high-pitched voice shouted out, her knees crashing into sand as she began shaking the traveller “T-Traveller get up!”
Candace and Dehya rushed over after Paimon, Candace already using her vision to make fresh, cool water for the golden haired traveller.
“you provide shade, I’ll carry her.” Dehya states as she lifted the unconscious girl off the hot sand. She began running to Aaru village, Candace with her shield above Lumine and paimon flying in tow.

Hours later, Lumine woke up in a bed she hadn’t recognised, she was dizzy, she sat up and felt something clinging to her arm. Looking down, she saw the familiar white hair of Paimon, with tear stained cheeks.
The bedside table had an icy jug of water and to the other side of the bed was a gentle blow of cool air, a mist flower sat in a flower pot.
“...paimon?” she spoke softly, gently shaking the small fairy.
Paimon’s eyes opened slowly for a moment. Before she floated off the bed.
“TRAVELLER!” she squeaked, “you’re awake! Thank goodness* the fairy has instantly poured Lumine a cup of water and made the golden haired girl drink.
“thanks Paimon but uh ..what happened. Where are we?” she asked, sipping the water between words.
“Aaru village, you passed out in the desert after we got separated by the sand storm! Luckily Paimon was found by Candace and Dehya and later found you out cold! Paimon was worried!” she shouted.
“Oh...I see, then we didn’t finish the commission? Guess time wi-“ she spoke before being interrupted.
“Now’s not the time for the commission! We can get a new one somewhere colder!” she squealed a lecture , “you could’ve died out there and all you can think of is failing a dumb commission!? You need to spend more caring for yourself!”
The traveller tried saying more but the door suddenly opened, catching the golden haired girl and her fairy’s attentions.
“You know, Traveller, Paimon’s right.” Tighnari’s voice rang out as he moved to check over the traveller, “The job isn’t as important as you and your own health you know, you need to rest more”
The traveller simply nodded, going mute as per usual when she’s talking to anyone but Paimon. The traveller spent a while longer in Aaru village before going back to Sumeru city with Tighnari and Cyno.
