She didn’t realise how far she had wondered in until the door slammed shut, the force of it rattling the chandelier.
Startled, Hermione whirled around, her hand catching in her bag strap as she scrambled for her wand.
A figure stood in front of the closed door, their legs slightly apart and a wand gripped between both hands.
