Summary
Yoon Jongwoo, a man living under the fabricated identity of Oh Joonyeong, a name he uses to stay hidden from the police after rising to the top of their wanted lists. Intelligent, cautious, and deeply convinced of his own control, Jongwoo believes he has perfected the art of going unnoticed. That illusion begins to fracture the day a handsome dentist walks unannounced into his phone repair shop; an ordinary encounter that instantly sticks itself in Jongwoo’s mind. From that moment on, fascination turns into obsession, and obsession into stalking, as Jongwoo begins to center his thoughts, routines, and plans entirely around the dentist.
Through Jongwoo’s confident and unreliable narration, the dentist is framed as unaware, pristine, almost unreal; someone to be studied, claimed, and ultimately ruined. What he never considers is the possibility that he is being watched in return.
Subtle signs slip past Jongwoo’s notice: moments that feel too convenient, reactions that seem too calm, knowledge that appears without explanation. Blinded by his own certainty and the thrill of obsession, Jongwoo fails to question the obvious.
