Don't mess with the end guardian MinuteTech

Summary:

MinuteTech had somehow adopted 5 kids. How? Don't ask him. Just know if you hurt any of them, he will make sure you pay for it.

or

5 times MinuteTech protected one of his troublemakers + one time they protected him.

Notes:

I really like the found family trope, so when I heard the head canon that MinuteTech adopted Spoke and Mapicc I wanted to write about that. It just kinda turned into a 5 times +1 time thing. Not sure if I did that correct.

But anyways, I hope you enjoy this! :)

Chapter 1: Spoke

Chapter Text

The past couple of weeks have been quiet. No one had entered the end dimension in a while, which was good.  He had finally some time to repair and rebuild the end. All the damage from the last attack was fixed, and there were no cobwebs, nor holes on the ground.

Flying over his terrain, making sure he didn't miss anything, was rewarding. Seeing the once destroyed island below him, completely unharmed and healed, made him smile. Proof that his work, his protection over the past couple of months paid off.

Keeping everyone away from the end resulted in him being alone. The word spread fast, that MinuteTech was protecting the end, and thus less and less people came to the void dimension.

After the mafia ended, he wanted to do something new. Before, he spent all his time running and hiding from the mafia, trying his best not to get involved with them or anyone else.

That didn't mean he wouldn't attack them when he saw an invisible mafia member. This brought him rescue two players called Spoke and Mapicc, which were being chased by a large group of mafia members. He was in the nether when he saw how dozens of mafia members chasing those two players.

During their conversation, he noticed quickly that those two were troublemakers. The exact kind of people he was trying to stay away from.

Yet for some reason, those two kept following him, and it was clear that without him, they would fall to the mafia. Taking pity on them, he stayed and listened to their plans against the mafia. After being alone for such a long time, it was nice being surrounded by people, even when they were chaotic and prone to make stupid decisions.

Nonetheless, it was one of the best decisions he made. Sure, they had arguments, but it was also funny watching Spoke and Mapicc interact. Over time, he grew a soft spot for those two troublemakers.

Sadly, after the mafia ended, they separated. For a while he didn't know what they were up to until they stumbled into the endSpoke excitedly told him what they were doing and how they ended up in the end. Apparently, it was an accident.

It was nice seeing those two again and he hoped they would always stay together. Being alone was dangerous.

When they eventually left, he hoped they would stay out of trouble, but he knew that was impossible. The moment Spoke wasn’t causing trouble or chaos was the day the unstable smp becomes peaceful. Both were impossible.

Between them Mapicc was the better fighter, hence why he was more worried about Spoke. Spoke wasn't necessarily bad at PVP, but he wouldn't go so as to say he was a good fighter. Most of the time he hadn't a plan nor a tactic in a fight and when he did it was just pure chaos and would eventually backfire.

Still, he knew not to underestimate the voidling. He was full of surprises.

He landed on one of the walls after completing his overseeing his hard work. In his mind he was already planning the next project for the end, when suddenly he heard a commotion from one of the spawn platforms.

Quickly equipping his elytra, he flew to where he heard the noise. He was expecting another attack, not finding Spoke lying on the ground with only a chest plate and boots. another person standing above him, axe ready to strike and three other people getting ready to attack. The scene in front of him was a surprise, but the moment the shock washed away, he felt anger.

Throwing a strength and speed potion on himself, he threw an ender pearl towards the people, striking the person above Spoke with his own axe. Apparently, these people didn't hear about him, since they were so shocked, none of them reacted for a good minute. Once they processed what had happened, they got ready to attack him and so the fight broke out.

Unlucky for them, they were no match for Minute, and the only option they had was to flee. When he was sure, they all had left, he returned to Spoke, who was leaning against one of the obsidian towers.

"Heyy Minute. It’been a while."

He took in the younger's condition. There were cuts and bruises all over his body as well as some deeper stab wounds. The kid needed immediate medical attention.

"Can you walk. I need you to get inside the base so I can treat your wounds."

"I think so."

Spoke tried standing up, but before he even was standing straight up, he begun swaying. Quickly Minute went to Spoke's side, supporting him.

He helped Spoke sit down on the couch while he went to fetch the first aid kid. When he returned, the voidling had resorted to lying down.

"Hey, I need you to stay awake. Okay?"

"mm I'm awake. Not planning to sleep."

He helped Spoke take off the rest of his armor, before he worked on treating the injuries. Luckly none of the wounds were lethal. All Spoke needed was some good rest and in a couple of days he should be fully recovered.

"Okay, you are all patched up now. Don't move or you will reopen the wounds."

"Yeah, yeah."

The adrenaline from the fight had left his body, seeing Spoke all safe and patched up, he sat down beside him, relaxing into the couch.

"You renovated this place."

"I had some spare time."

"I like it. Looks good."

It was clear that Spoke was trying to distract himself from the earlier attack and wanted to talk. Silence was never his thing.

"People finally got the memo to stay out. This was the first attack in a good couple of weeks."

"Honestly, I don't think the word was spread that much. Well, at least I didn't hear anything about not entering the end."

"Maybe. Still, the attacks have lessened."

Next to him, Spoke shifted, changing his sitting position to a half lying on Minute.

"Not to hurt your pride, but I don't think they were here to attack your base. They were kinda more after me."

"They were still unwelcomed."

"Yeah, they were. You went full kill mode. For a second I thought you were going to kill me."

"I wouldn't kill, just had to teach them some manners."

Both of them chuckled. It was nice seeing that their dynamic didn't change, even if they hadn't seen each other for a while.

"Why were they even after you?"

"Uhhh, long story. But I got it handled."

"What did you do this time?"

"Nothing."

Minute shot Spoke a look. Spoke absolutely did something. He knew him long enough to know when he was lying.

"Okay...maybe I did do something, but I got it handled."

After poking more about the matter, Spoke finally told him what he did. He "accidently" blew up their gold farm and now they were mad and wanted revenge. It reminded him when he first met the duo, and they explained to him that Ash had set them up, and all those destroyed farms were his fault. Maybe Spoke should just stay away from other people's farms.

"Where is Mapicc? Normally you two get together in trouble."

"Soo, I went to talk with them and maybe didn't tell Mapicc that..."

"But you did tell him, that people were after you."

"He helped me blow up those farms."

He was told by a very proud Spoke. It definitely wasn’t an accident.

"Okay, you don't have to stare at me disappointedly. I know it wasn't the best idea to go there all by myself."

"As long as you know."

While sitting there and talking with Spoke, he realized how lonely he had been for the last couple of months. Sure, he wasn't the type of person who needed a lot of social interactions but talking like this felt nice.

"Bro, I'm hungry. Do you have anything to eat?"

He sighed.

"I can cook us something."

After he untangled himself from Spoke, he got work on dinner. He decided on something easy like soup. Once they had eaten the fresh soup, Minute showed Spoke one of the spare bedrooms he could use, since he wasn't allowed to get back to the overworld until he was healed or Mapicc came to pick him up.

Thinking about Mapicc, he should probably inform him where Spoke is. He doubted that Spoke had messaged him.

You whisper to Mapicc: I don't think Spoke told you, but he's with me.

You whisper to MapiccI'm not letting him leave until he is recovered, or you come pick him up.

Mapicc whispers to you: WHAT!?

Mapicc whispers to you: what did he do now??

You whisper to Mapicc: He went to talk to the people who were hunting him down.

You whisper to MapiccBecause of the gold farm.

Mapicc whispers to you: He did not

Mapicc whisper to you: That idiot

Mapicc whispers to you: I will get him tomorrow. Make sure he doesn't die.

You whisper to Mapicc: I will.

He put his communicator away and went to bed himself.

Morning came fast and while they were eating breakfastMapicc stormed in.

"Dude, what's wrong with you? Going there all by yourself?!"

"Ey, listen. thought we could just talk it out and move on. How was I supposed to know they were going to attack me?" Spoke defended himself.

"You are an idiot. Don't leave me out if you're going to do something stupid."

The bickering went on for a long time, before Mapicc sat down and started to eat breakfast as well. Minute could just watch and be amused by the duo.

Even though the whole interaction happened because of Spoke's poor decisions, he was glad they could sit here and talk. He wouldn't mind if every now and then his peace would be interrupted by the devious duo. Honestly, he was looking forward to the next time.
