Marina sat in the studio next to Marie. Kind, sweet Marie. Marie had invited Marina onto her podcast named "Marie After Midnight." While she didn't typically stay up too late most nights, she figured she could do it just this once. For Marie. She wouldn't make a habit out of it, heavens no. Moreso, just one tiny exception.
Until one time leads to two that leads to three that leads to four that leads to-
"Marina!" Marie called out, "I'm so glad you could make it. I know you aren't really a night owl..." Her voice trailed off before adjusting her seat nervously.
"Of course!" She smiled, sitting in her seat properly. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." As she thought a bit, she remembered how nervous Marie gets sometimes when it comes to doing stuff in relation to work. "Marie, how are you feeling? I know you get a bit nervous when you do stuff like this..."
"I'm alright, thanks for asking," she replied. "I've managed to overcome my social anxiety for the most part- performing on stage for people for nearly 11 years helped with that."
"May I ask how?" Marina asked, curiosity in her tone. As much as she knew about Marie... she did wonder- how did she overcome social anxiety? The feeling of people hearing and staring at you?
"I just think about someone I care about being with me- like you," she explained, "it's not so scary if someone is there with you."
"I see..." She mumbled, thinking carefully. "I think I get it. You're a strong person."
"Thank you, Marina," Marie responded, before she realized the time. "Oh, carp! We start in less than 60!"
"ACK! I'm sorry for distracting you!" Marina squeaked.
"Haha, it's alright! We all have our mess ups sometimes."
