Chapter Text
The house was quiet—too quiet, and Stacey’s afraid of that silence. Maybe to other people it may sound perfect—too perfect to the point it's comforting.
But to her it was not. That sound of silence was torture to her, ‘cause it means her wife Jhoanna doing something suspicious. She knew Jhoanna very well. Her silence, her actions, her stares, and her suspicious smile's that will kill you from curiosity.
“What are you doing” Stacey ask, while her arm crossed and her brows are raising. Jhoanna was shock when her wife spoke, ‘cause she knew one thing—she might get scolded by her precious wife. Yes, you read it right. In Jhoanna’s eyes–she's a precious, perfect, and lovely wife.
She always handle everything well, their laundry always been done, their clothes folded and already fix on their cabinet, chores always done. But it's not always done by Stacey, they always split on doing house chores.
“Uhm… nothing?” Jhoanna said, while keeping her tone usual. But Stacey already knew that tone, she always use that tone—of course she'll use that to cover up her unusual doing’s.
“What did you do to calli this time hmm?” She says, while still in the same posture.
“Nothing babe, seriously it's nothing.” Jhoanna said, for a moment the room went quiet.
Then a burst of laughter echoed, then a pout came through, causing Stacey to roll her eyes. “Mahal, sorry po kase nakain po kame ni Calli ng ice cream. I know too much sweet can damage Calli’s teeth.” Jhoanna's pout become more pouty face. Like, Stacey might change her mind with that cute face.
“Callista, pout pa ikaw para di galit sa’tin si mommy mo.” Jhoanna whisper, like she was a criminal making a plan to escape. Callista did what her mama told, she pout even more.
“Jusko, Robles. How many times do i told you no more sweet's after lunch.” Stacey sigh, then walked out of the room. ‘Cause she knew if she stay at that room, she will just forgive her daughter and her wife then back to normal again.

Yes, you read it right again. But not just one, it become two surprisingly.
Callista Xyril Eve S. Robles; first born, the silly one, always on team Jhoanna when doing naughtiness. But still on mommy's side when it's lambing time.
Callista, is three years old. And five years ago, Jhoanna and Stacey plan to take an IVF— they plan Callista for almost 2 years, just to be sure if they're really ready for that big responsibility.
Callista the naughty one, always find it's way to pissed off her mama. The one who can swim at dirt without being worry she might get scolded. The one who sneak ice cream with her mama after lunch.
Soren Xyvix Ave S. Robles; second born, the quiet one, the small one, the fragile one, the most clingy to Stacey.
Soren, a three months old baby boy. Who always milk drunk, always quiet, but mostly he cry just to get Stacey's attention.
“Hi, mommy.” Callista, wave at her mom.
“Ohh—hello, sweetheart.” Stacey's not that surprised to that sudden call from her daughter.
“Mommy, can i draw?” Then she pulled out her charm—the puppy eyes.
Oh no, not with that draw thing again.
“Eve, the last time i allowed you to draw, you didn't draw on the paper—but in the wall.” She put down Soren in his bassinet, to give her daughter her full attention.
“But, mommy. I think the wall is much better than the paper.” Still using puppy eyes while convincing her mom
“No, it's not. Eve i’m only allowing you to draw if you promise not to draw on the wall, and only using paper.” Stacey said while her arms on her hips.
“Okay… i promise.” She walked out of the nursery room, head down and lips on pout.
Later that afternoon, Jhoanna got home tired. But she still have energy to bond with the kids, of course she always does. She maybe tired, but she always makes time for her kids and wife.
“Hi, baby. Did you have fun with mommy today?.” Jhoanna kiss her daughter's forehead, then she turned to her wife. “Did the kids give you a hard time?” Then she give Stacey a peck on her lips.
“Nah, I'm used to it. Callista did a good job today, she didn't draw on the wall today, but on the paper.” Stacey adjusted Soren in her chest to make the little boy more comfortable.
“And Soren, just cry while I'm washing the dishes. He doesn't like being put down. So I have to leave the dishes for a moment, so I have my full attention on Ave.” Stacey said, making sure that her wife was still updated on what they do.
“Of course, they do. They always do that, mahal.” Jhoanna leans on Stacey's shoulder.
“What about you Mahal, how's your work? Are you okay? Did they make you tired?” She asked consecutively.
“Whoo, geez. Easy babe—okay I'll answer it one by one.” Jhoanna now hugging her wife tighter.
“Okay, my work is good; the trainees didn't make things too hard for me. And I'm okay – see, I'm alive and kicking right now.” Jhoanna's face is now at her wife's neck, giving a peck of kiss.
“Okay, it's bedtime guys.” Stacey announced.
“But, mommy… I still want to play with mama.” Callista pouted, thinking she might convince her mommy more minutes to play with Jhoanna.
“No na baby, it's late na. You can play with mama the other day, mahal.” Her mommy expain to her with a gentle tone.
“But today I haven't been able to spend much time with mama yet” She said it with tears almost falling.
“Eve, we have rules right? At bedtime, it's time to sleep. Sorry baby, I didn't get home early – that's why we weren't able to play after all.” Jhoanna unlaced her hand into her wife's waist, and stepped forward to her daughter to hug her.
“We’ll play tomorrow okay” Jhoanna wiped Callista’s tears.
They all went together to the nursery room to put the two children to sleep. Stacey settled Soren down to his bassinet, milk drunk already. While Callista, still insisting on playing with her mama. But they agreed to just read bedtime stories.
When they settled the kids to sleep, the two insisted on settling themselves to bed too.
“how are you, Mahal?” Jhoanna placed her hand on the back of Stacey's head, and gently rubbed her thumb on Stacey's shoulder.
“I'm okay babe, geez you keep asking me the same question.” Stacey snuggle even closer to Jhoanna.
“Because I'm at work all day today, that's why I need to know if you're okay.” She kissed Stacey's forehead.
“Let's sleep na okay, we need extra energy for tomorrow because we've promised Calli to play with us.” Stacey said it as her eyes were getting heavy and closing on their own.
“I love you, Mahal. You’re always been my home. Good night.” Jhoanna kissed Stacey's lips for the last time on that day.
