It'd been an amazing day. Especially with someone Will was lucky to call his boyfriend.
𝘉𝘰𝘺𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥....he thought. The title still made his heart race, considering it had only been a few months since he found out the feelings he'd carried for years were mutual. He doesn't know how long it will take for the adrenaline of seeing him nearly every day to wear off, but he doesn't mind.
At the moment, they were having a lovely picnic under a little bridge, as to not be seen. Considering people in the 80s are never supportive, him and Mike didn't want to risk it.
"Hey, can you hand me the strawberries?" Mike asks. Will nods, handing him the strawberries with a smile. "Thanks" Mike says. "Of course" he replies.
They'd been sitting in a comfortable silence for a while. It's kind of odd, considering in their many years of friendship, they'd almost never been completely comfortable together. Except for before.... well, before he was kidnapped.
All the monsters that'd taken and tortured him... all his friends claimed it was just people.....Except for Mike.
Mike always agreed with him about seeing the creatures, but Dustin and Lucas... Even his own mother had claimed it was just bad people. He'd never quite understood it. Mike had sworn up and down that he saw the creatures. And Will believed him.
Mike had never been the lying type. He'd always been smart and honest. Will even made him swear or he'd put spiders in his bed. (Mike was 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘺 afraid of spiders.)
But none of this really matters. Because he's here right now, and he's with his boyfriend. He even leans over and kisses him. JUST BECAUSE HE CAN!
He imagines talking to himself at 14 and getting to tell him they were dating. 14 year old him would probably be rolling on the floor, in tears from laughing.
He let's out a tiny breath as he turns his head to look at the beautiful beach surrounding them. He even sees a little cabin a few 100 yards away.
"Hey, do you hear that?" Mike asks. Will looks back over at Mike, listening.
He 𝘤𝘢𝘯 hear something. He looks around.
He stops his head exactly where it is as he quietly gasps.
It's an old creature he thinks he's learned about before. He racks his mind for the name.
"A Hydra..." Mike whispers. Will turns his head back to him, but almost instantly back to where the Hydra was standing.
It's gone.
He breathes out a sigh of relief.
"Isn't that a monster from Greek myth-" he stops as he turned his head back to Mike.
An ear splitting roar erupts all around them. Will is so shocked he can't move.
The Hydra lunges at them. His hands fly up in front of his face, Mike does the same. He feels Mike fall back into him.
At least he spent his final moments with someone he loves.
Suddenly, the noise stops mid roar. Will slowly takes his arms down from over his face and opens his eyes.
Standing where the Hydra had just moments before, was a blonde boy and a dark haired boy.
"You two are so lucky that Percy's mom owns that cabin. I'm Will, this is Nico. Welcome to the Half Blood world, where no one is safe." He says. The dark haired boy sighed as the 2 of them waved them towards the cabin. 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵... He thinks. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩.
