Chapter Text
Book was sitting in her room with her lights off and curtains over the window. She was reading until getting a message from Price Tag. Book grabbed her phone and checked to see what Price Tag sent her.
“Hey Book! Do you wanna hang out with me and Winner? :3”
Book thought to herself for a minute before responding back to them.
“Sure thing! I’ll be there soon. :)”
Book put her shoes on and started buttoning up her cardigan. She made sure her room was in order before walking to Price Tag’s room in the hotel. When Book arrived, she knocked on the door and waited for Price Tag to open it.
Price Tag opened the door and smiled seeing Book there. “Hey Book! You know you don’t have to knock? We’re friends so you don’t have to knock!” Book looked a bit confused. She was confused on Price Tag’s way of showing their boundaries. “I just think it’s still the proper thing to do.” Book said while fidgeting with her fingers.
Price Tag laughed at Book’s response and let her inside. Book stood there while still fidgeting with her fingers. Price Tag sat back down on the bed next to Winner which caught Book’s attention. She wanted to sit next to the two of them but was scared of accidentally doing something wrong.
Winner looked up at Book and gestured to her to come sit with them. Book was confused since she didn’t understand what Winner was trying to tell her. Winner did the same gesture but Book still didn’t understand what she was being told. “Book, I’m telling you to come over here with us.” Winner said to Book after realizing their gestures weren’t doing anything.
Book felt embarrassed but laughed it off and walked over to Price Tag and Winner. She sat down beside them and began talking to the two of them. Winner looked at Book across the bed and decided to make a joke towards her in a playful way. “Sometimes I wonder how you’re so smart but don’t understand hand gestures.” Price Tag laughed at Winner’s joke but Book felt pretty offended by it.
“I just don’t understand what people are saying to me sometimes that’s not with words.” Book muttered while fidgeting with her hands again. Winner quickly realized their mistake and started apologizing “No I was just joking! I wasn’t making fun of you!” Winner quickly apologized to Book.
Book stared at them for a few seconds before laughing a little bit. She was embarrassed for not understanding Winner was joking but didn’t bring it up to not ruin the mood. The three of them continued talking like normal with no issues.
