“Gee, baby, you have to go to bed. It’s almost 12 o’clock.” Ray said as he looked throughout the house for the little. Checking every one of Gerard’s hiding places. Gee had been doing this every night for the past week. It was a pain in the ass trying to get Gerard to go to bed when he was little. Gee was usually “not sleepy” even though the boy was struggling to keep his eyes open while saying it.

But this time, it seemed different. The way Gee immediately got up from Ray’s chest and ran to hide. Not even saying a word before he scampered off to some part of the house. “Angel, if you come out, i’ll fix you pancakes tomorrow.” Ray announced. Bribing usually worked in situations like this.

Ray walked into the bedroom they shared. As the caregiver glanced at the room, he eyed Gee trying to hide by sitting behind a window curtain. The little was hugging his legs to his chest. His Fluttershy plushie was sitting next to him. “Awww… Baby…” Ray cooed as he picked up Gee. He knew that Gerard was usually good at hiding, but when Gee regressed to the 2 - 3 years mark, he was terrible at it.

Gee tried to squirm out of Ray’s arms before giving up. Gerard knew Ray was way stronger than him and could easily hold him back. The little crossed his arms as tears welled in his eyes.

Ray gently balanced Gee on his hip as he carried the little to the bathroom. “Don’ wan’ to go to ed’..” Gerard mumbled as Ray set him on the bathroom counter. “Why, baby?” Ray asked the little, gently brushing through the boy’s black hair with his fingers. Gerard stayed silent, simply looking down at his legs. “Use your words, angel.” Ray said as he gently rubbed Gerard’s thigh. He wasn’t a mind reader, and the only way Ray will know what’s bothering Gee is if the little used his words. “Mwonster..” Gerard murmured

quietly, tears welled in his eyes as he spoke. Ray frowned as a pang of guilt rushed over him. He thought Gee just didn’t want to go to bed, he didn’t know Gee was scared. Ray wrapped his arms around Gerard, “I’m so sorry, babydoll.” Ray said as Gee started crying. “Can i till’ ave’ ancakes’ marrow’?” the little said through sniffles. Gee looked up at Ray with big puppy eyes. “Of course you can. Now let’s get you ready for bed, baby boy.”

Ray gently brushed through Gee’s black  with a comb, trying not to be too rough and accidentally pull the little’s hair. “You’re gonna have to take a bath tomorrow, angel.” Ray said gently as he continued combing Gee’s hair. Gerard whined at the mention of a bath, not being fond of baths. “I know, precious, but you’re gonna have to take one.” Ray responded, gently kissing Gee’s forehead. Gee pouted and crossed his arms in protest.

“Bunny, you’re gonna have to brush your teeth.” Ray sighed, rubbing his temples for what felt like the 5th time. Gerard’s jaw clenched more, crossing his arms. He didn’t want to brush his teeth, and he wasn’t going to. “Angel… I won’t say this again. You have to brush your teeth.” Ray said sternly, it was getting late and Gee needed to go to bed. “But i don’ wan’-“ Gerard said before Ray took that as his chance, he swiftly put the blue toothbrush in Gee’s mouth and started brushing. High pitched whines came from the little, trying to stop Ray from brushing but failing miserably. Gee squirmed, trying to run away. “Baby, we’re almost done. Can you stay still for a few more seconds??” Ray asked as he firmly held Gerard’s shoulder, trying to keep the boy in place. Gee thought for a moment, then slowly nodding. About 10 seconds later, Ray took the toothbrush out of the little’s mouth. “See, it wasn’t so bad after all! You did so good, baby.” Ray cooed as he brushed through Gee’s black messy hair. He washed the toothbrush off and then gave the little a cup of water. The black haired boy swished the water around in his mouth, then spit the water out in the sink.

Ray balanced Gee on his hip as he walked out the bathroom, the little wrapping his arms around Ray’s neck. The caregiver walked into the bedroom, setting the little down on the bed before Ray walked to the closet. The black  haired boy started whining and pulling at his hair. Ray turned around to look at Gerard with a bit of worry, “What’s wrong, angel??” Ray asked with a bit of concern, returning back over to the bed. The curly haired man separated Gee’s hands from Gee’s hair, trying to figure out what was wrong. “Fluttershy.” Gee whined. Gerard thought he had brought the light yellow pony to the bathroom with him, then to the bedroom. But, in reality, Fluttershy was still set behind the curtain. “Oh bunny, she’s still behind the curtain, where you were hiding before. I’ll get her.” Ray replied, brushing his fingers through Gee’s hair. Gerard sniffled, wiping his nose with the sleeve of his hoodie. He was tired and just wanted to cuddle with his plushie and his daddy. Ray got up and went over to the curtain, where the plush pony was sitting at. The caregiver picked the plushie up and walked back to the little, “Here you go, angel” Ray said as he handed Gee the Fluttershy plush. Gee gently rubbed his face into the plushie, feeling a bit of comfort holding his favorite plush toy. Ray got a black hoodie and some black pajama pants out from the drawer and laid them on the bed. “Does my little bunny need help taking his clothes off?” Ray asked the little, gently booping Gee’s nose. Gerard slowly nodded, looking down at his feet. The caregiver helped take the little’s clothes off before putting the clothes Ray set on the bed on.

Ray helped settle the little in bed, he was about to turn off the lamp when he noticed Gee was chewing on his own hoodie sleeve. Ray quickly looked on the bedside table for Gerard’s red paci, and luckily, he found it. The caregiver grabbed it off the table and popped it into Gee’s mouth, not wanting Gerard to chew on his sleeves any longer. Ray reached over and turned off the lamp. He had one arm wrapped around Gee and the other stroking Gee’s black messy hair.

Ray was about to fall asleep before he heard the sound of sniffles and he felt his shoulder being wet. The caregiver looked down and saw Gee sobbing into his shoulder, his back moving up and down as each sob came out. Ray began to rub Gerard’s back, “Angel, what’s wrong??” Ray whispered into the little’s ear, not wanting to startle Gee. Gerard jumped a bit at the sound of Ray’s voice, he looked up at his caregiver with big hazel eyes before sobbing again. Gerard has a hard time saying what is wrong or what he needs. He even struggled saying when he was hungry. “Baby, can you use your words please?” Ray asked gently, “I won’t know what’s wrong unless you use your voice.” Ray continued to rub Gee’s back, trying to calm down his baby boy so that he could use his words. “Cold..” Gerard said through sobs, he clearly wanted a blanket. Ray began to get up so he could go get a blanket, but Gee whined and grabbed his hand, thinking Ray was leaving him. “Angel, im just gonna get a blanket. I’ll be right back, i promise.” Ray said as he stroked Gee’s cheek with his thumb. The little let go of Ray’s hand hesitantly. Ray walked out the bedroom and down the hall to the closet, opening the doors and pulling out Gerard’s My Little Pony blanket. He soon walked back to the bedroom, Gerard saw the blanket in Ray’s hands and gasped a little, that was his favorite blanket!

Ray unfolded the blanket and laid it over the covers, making sure it laid flat. The caregiver laid in bed, wrapping one arm around Gee and the other stroking Gerard black messy hair. Gee on the other hand, had his arms around his Fluttershy plushie. Ray had gotten Gee the plushie when Ray found out Gee was a age regressor. It had been Gerard’s favorite plushie ever since.

In only a few minutes Gee was fast asleep, being held in Ray’s strong arms. “I love you, angel.” Ray whispered as he kissed Gerard’s forehead.

the end.
