    The Cheshire Cat served to act as a guide to Alice as she explored Wonderland. He offers some guidance, listens to her, reminds her that everyone here truly is mad.

    Chishiya appropriately does much of the same, with a few twists, of course.

    But a series of decisions - decisions that go against everything Chishiya had already planned for himself - result in Chishiya doing far more than just guiding part of Arisu's narrative. How important could Chishiya become to Arisu if he had done just a few things differently? And how important could Arisu become to Chishiya if he decided something other than what was most logical?
