Eddie still remembered the day you appeared in their lives

He was readying himself for school, grumbling about homework he had once again forgotten

And there you were that morning, crying in the front of Wayne’s trailer

Wayne had tried to find your parents for a while

But every sign just made it clear you had been abandoned

So social workers told Wayne they’d put you into the system

Eddie had developed an attachment to you and a bond though

And Wayne just couldn’t do it

So he signed up to foster parent you, in hopes to eventually adopt you

Eddie was ecstatic once he found out he’s potentially going to be your big brother

It took a while, but eventually Wayne’s application went through and you moved into the trailer

You were pretty shy at first, your memory of your parents just dropping you off and driving away fresh in your mind

Eddie found that having you sit in his room and listen to him play guitar was calming to you.

He also found out your favourite snacks and foods by poking around a little

It was incredible how quickly he formed a bond with you.

Wayne was a good father figure, doing more than anyone thought he could do

Caring about two children while being pretty poor fought against all odds of being a competent parent

But he did it anyway

You almost started getting bullied once you started middle school because they found out you were abandoned by your parents

You really wished someone had snapped a photo of the moment they found out Eddie is your brother

Having a “freak” as a brother was a blessing in that sense

Some people believing he was doing some satanic shit and all that scared bullies off you

You often participated in Eddie’s DnD nights, especially after he brought his new friends along

And you also grew close with the boys too

(He made sure to keep the campaigns more tame on nights when you attended though)

You never really liked him dealing drugs and knew to be loud about it

(Not publicly, just to him)

And one day him dealing drugs ended in a way that ruined his life

The girl he was giving drugs to was brutally murdered into the trailer

The boys reluctantly took you with them to find Eddie after

And so you were sucked into the Upside Down mess

Eddie got to see the braver, protective version of you

And he couldn’t be more proud of the young woman you were becoming <3

Even though your life as Eddie’s sister began in a way that could have been more pleasant, you picking Wayne’s trailer out of them all was the luckiest choice you could have done.
