Work Text:
"Glamping?" Yongbok repeats, since this is the first time she has ever heard that word. She knows her mother wants to go camping, and she knows that word starts with a C. Glamping doesn't start with C because it has the 'guh' sound.
"It's a glamorous camping, darling, which I assure you, it's way better than camping in the wild" Iyen answers but somehow the word 'glamorous' makes her put on a rich people's accent, like those characters in Bridgerton. Yongbok stares at her aunt blankly, wondering why she didn't call her 'little cool' as per usual.
"Ahh, but I wanna go camping, though!" Minho rants loudly as she drives. She looks annoyed but her husband that sits next to her only sees the visible pout on her lips. It makes him smile.
"We already went camping before, babe. Let's try a new experience, okay? It will just be like a campsite with better facilities. We'll go camping again with our second baby later. We'll try not to put you into risky places, is that okay with you?" Seungmin reassures her calmly but it doesn't make Minho any less annoyed.
"What's wrong with going camping when I'm pregnant... It's not like I will do left-hand sparring with a bear or something..." She mumbles but it is loud enough for the whole car to hear.
"It's not wrong to go camping when you're pregnant, unnie. But it's wrong to go camping with me because I might trip over a root and fall off the hill and break my pelvis and we don't want that" Iyen answers this time, while she fixes her eyeliner with one hand holding a hand mirror. Then, she slams the mirror close as she looks at her family members. She can't see her sister since she is sitting behind her but still, she speaks loud enough to get everyone's attention.
"It'll be fun, I promise! At night, we can set a bonfire, sit around it, roast marshmallows and maybe talk about old memories or deep topics! We can talk to each other all night long and go home feeling relief" she convinces, and her words actually attract Yongbok's interest as her eyes sparkle with excitement instantly.
"We can sleep late?! There's no sleep time?!" The little girl repeats as if she cannot believe it. Iyen smiles with confidence as she looks at her niece, then she nods without a doubt.
"We don't even have to sleep the whole night" she emphasizes.
They sleep that night.
Even earlier than expected. The family rents a mini cabin with two bedrooms and Iyen is already snoring in one of the beds at 9pm while hugging her niece. The little girl is deeply asleep in her aunt's arm but it is understandable because she already got used to sleeping on schedule. But Iyen? She doesn't even bother to change her fits into sleepwear, just simply dozes off and disappears.
Seungmin only notices them when he is about to invite them for the planned bonfire activity, so when he sees his daughter and sister-in-law soundly asleep, he just chuckles softly and closes the bedroom door as quiet as possible. He goes downstairs, and sees his wife is tying her hair after she changes into a more comfy outfit to wear.
"They're sleeping" he announces. She instantly bursts into a soft laugh.
"I'm not surprised"
The husband stands in front of the wife, staring at her for a bit before fixing her hair a bit, only to get his hand smacked and Minho immediately lifts her both fist as if she protects herself from Seungmin's touch. Or she just wants to have a sparring session, who knows? The line between those two is almost nonexistent. Seungmin just chuckles softly and shakes his head, causing Minho to chuckle too and lower her guard.
"Let's go to sleep too" Seungmin invites, making Minho frown right away.
"No~! I did not set everything up outside just for show. Are we renting here solely to sleep?" She nags, almost feeling upset that quickly because the pregnancy makes her more sensitive.
Plus, she means it. Since she is the most experienced one in camping, she helped a lot in setting things up and impressed her family. So, she does not want her exhausted to go to waste. While she is in her own feelings, she doesn't notice that Seungmin looks at her so fondly. There is a hint of teasing in his eyes.
"Are you saying we should go on a date outside?" He flirts. The blushing red on Minho's ears and cheeks are unavoidable, yet she still lifts her fists up again.
"I'm asking you to have a spar with me" she proceeds to fake a punch or two to his tummy, making him chuckle and avoid the attack. They play around like that for a while before Seungmin gets a chance to hug her, stopping her from the action.
"I think our baby will be good at boxing. You are really addicted with sparring these days" he says calmly but it is enough to make Minho giggle and hug him back from the side, as they walk out the cabin.
Who knows glamping can be romantic for them both? Maybe the stars and the fireflies are the only witnesses to their love that night.

Bonus :
I shouldn't sleep. That's not the plan.
Yongbok wakes up instantly when suddenly that thought appears in her head. She's half-awake and drowsy yet she tries to get out of her aunt's hug and gets off the bed. Luckily she can reach the knob now, so she goes to the living room, only to see her parents aren't around. She blinks to get her vision clearer, searching around until she decides to open the front door.
Luckily, Seungmin's hearing sense is very good,so he turns around instantly when he hears the door open. He quickly keeps his phone inside his pocket to get her while she is looking at the sky. It's dawn, almost sunrise. Wow, she really missed the whole night. Seungmin lifts her up right away, wishing her 'good morning' and 'did you sleep well?', making her comfortable in his embrace and forgets to feel upset about missing the bonfire.
"Come on, princess. You should see Mama. She's out of her mind already because she refuses to sleep all night long" Seungmin excitedly invites, and Yongbok's curiosity sparks right away. Seungmin brings her towards a big tree in front of the cabin, where there is a punching bag hanging from one of its branches. He takes out his phone with one hand, and records his wife again with a smile on his face.
"Oh, my daughter is here so let's do this again, fella. Hey fella. Oii. You look like a bear. Are you a bear? Wanna left-hand sparring with me? Huh?" Minho mumbles, as she pushes the punching bag once or twice, picking up a fight like a silly. She sounds drunk, making Seungmin and Yongbok burst out laughing right away, watching her having a battle with the innocent punching bag. She smiles because of their laugh, so she takes a step further to make it funnier, just to make them laugh even more.
The video Seungmin records barely catches Minho's voice. It's just full of Seungmin and his daughter's bright laughter. Thanks to Minho, at least now Yongbok gets a fun experience going to the glamping and Seungmin has a video that he can rewatch when he needs to cheer up.
