Today definitely wasn't your lucky day... well, sort of.
When you woke up, you felt very hot but were shivering from the cold at the same time. Your boyfriend, Nulla, touched your forehead to check if you had a fever, and... yes, you did.
Right then, you were resting, drinking a cup of tea with honey, mostly to regulate your body temperature and hydrate (since although you had a cough, it wasn't too bad).
After finishing your drink, you placed your cup on the nightstand next to your bed. Almost immediately, Nulla opened the bedroom door with your breakfast in hand and a warm but somewhat worried smile.
"How are you feeling,Cariño? Look, I brought you breakfast!~" he exclaimed tenderly and sat down beside you. You gave him a small smile and said thank you before starting to eat.
"So... are you feeling better...?" He asked when you finished your breakfast.
Something like that.
No, I feel the same.
He nodded and began to trace a circle on your back with the palm of his hand. His touch was soft and warm, just what your lungs needed.
You leaned into his touch, comforted by the warmth he was giving you. Noticing this, his smile grew wider and more tender. Slowly, he embraced you in a hug, kissing your hands, neck, and cheek, eliciting a small giggle from you. He chuckled, too, and rested his head on your shoulder.
"I love you," he murmured sweetly, his breath as warm as his touch. You murmured back "I love you too" to him as well.
